I went through the same decision 3 years ago. After looking and driving both I went with the 6.0. It is the only car I have ever owned that I would not change ANYTHING ! In my eyes it is truly a perfect designed and built supercar.
and youve had the pleaseure of landing two of the three...any plans to acquire the third of the set,lol
wow, overwhelming Diablo according to this thread. Colourwise, the one's you have listed Ben are great, but what about black? I'd assume silver is weak? To further the cause of the thread, which is more reliable, or is there no real difference?
Black and Silver are nice, but black is hard to keep looking super sharp, and silver is just boring to most. Black/silver dont carry the resale that the "skittles colors" do. No plans to buy a red 6.0. I want the Orange 6.0 that has orange/black seats with orange/black dash and orange stitching. It's so damn hot. -Ben
Your statement is incorrect. I will compare the resale value on my black 6.0 against your orange 6.0 any day of the week.
Compare any day of the week? Deal! Orange resells higher than Black for comparable miles and in excellent condition. -Ben
I'm still thinking Andormeda Red is about as rare a colour as any on a 6.0 I have only ever seen one other Andromeda Red for sale other than mine & that wasa couple years back. I wouldn't mind betting there are less than 5 in the entire USA. Here is a pic to wet your appetitie. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ben, You made the allegation that the "skittle" colors were more desirable and thus are subject to higher resale values. The burden of proof is upon your shoulders. I would love to see the condition of your car in person. Are you going to Concorso Italiano? We can park our cars side by side. Chris
OOH OOOOH OOOOOOOOOOOOOOh I feel a gentelmens bet coming on.........I WOULD be happy to be the JUDGE!!! As for the RED, 6 only in that color to the USA>>>>>>.
Hey Chris, The "burdern of proof" isnt on my shoulders. Quote from you: "I will compare the resale value on my black 6.0 against your orange 6.0 any day of the week.". You volunteered to be the burden, so knock yourself out. The last Orange 6.0's bought by people on this and the "other" board have been purchased for between $185k and $195k each with various . These are within the last six months. Show me a Black Diablo 6.0 with comparable miles to an Orange 6.0 in comparable condition that sold for more, and within roughly the same point in time. Orange Diablos almost always sell for more than black. I'm sure there's a black one that sold for more once. The key to the price however IS the comparative factors such as condition, mileage, service records, etc.. I'm not trying to compare my diablos resale value to yours. I'm not comparing my diablos condition to yours. You are taking these posts as an attack against your car because it's black and because mine is Orange. I dont know anything about your vehicle at all. Nothing about it other than that it is black with a yellow/black interior. Regarding Concorso Italiano, I dont know anything about that event. I'm fairly new to the West Coast having just moved to Vegas from Florida within the last week. When it's all said and done man, this is just the Internet and we can talk smack back and forth all day. I'd rather meet you for a cruise in Las Vegas and have a good time hanging out than arguing over the Internet. Heck, I'll even buy dinner. Cheers, -Ben
You need to check the time line of your posts within this thread. You made some very bold and unsupported accusations that orange, yellow and red colors on a 6.0 are the "hottie" colors. I must confess that your usage of the terms "hottie" and "skittle" are unnerving to me. Your burden of proof is validating that black/silver colors are less desirable and, therefore, have lower resale values. I don't see how anyone can make a blanket statement like that. The topic of this thread was Murcielago or Diablo 6.0. But guess who brought up the whole topic of exotic colors? You had to promote your orange car. You then tell people that you are up $50K from your purchase price??? Who posts statements like that on a public forum??? Yes...I said that I would compare the resale value of my black 6.0 to your orange 6.0. So here is what I propose to prove myself correct. Since you have recently relocated to the west coast, please attend my Lamborghini Owners Dinner on April 22nd. Details on this event are included in this forum. Roy Cats will be at the dinner and I would like to take him up on his offer to be the Judge on our cars. If he believes that my car has a higher resale value, you buy me and my wife dinner that evening. If Roy feels that your car has a higher resale value, I will buy you and your guest dinner. Come on Ben...what do you have to lose?
Why is it on this board that being an ****** always gets you a dinner invite and a round of beer? Is that the secret to networking with the big-wigs?
LOL! I found the thread http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100060 You want me to drive 275 miles to Orange County so Roy can judge my car? Let me know when you're in Las Vegas next time. Till then, PROVE ME WRONG that an Orange 6.0 will not sell for more than a Black 6.0 in same mileage, condition and service history. YOU CAN NOT! Good luck. (Cheerful and confident as always, but probably retracting the free dinner to you statement, it'll be your turn to buy first! ) -Ben
OK, I got a better one for you both......... I will start open bidding right now on BOTH of your cars......... ALL bidders MUST BE SERIOUS, NO BS or you are banned from the board!!! FOR EVER!! I open the BIDDING at $175K FOR EITHER CAR!!!
I do not understand why you can not see the error of your ways. You made inaccurate statements on this thread and you should own up to your actions. You started the whole issue of exotic colors and now you are doing the backstroke. I am sure that my Lambo brothers who own 6.0's in black, silver or any other non "skittle" color as you call it would agree with me. I knew that you would not attend my dinner the same way I knew that you would retract your dinner offer. Doesn't matter because I do not need your charity. You talk a BIG game but you have just shown your true colors.
Hi John, You are cordially invited to the Lamborghini Owners Dinner at Morton's Steakhouse. BTW: I do not think you are an ******. Chris
