Hi guys The quality of the expositions in Modena and Maranello convinced me to make the trip and pay a visit. First report is about the new Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari in Modena, hosting a Ferrari - Maserati display of fabulous cars. Full report of 290+ HD pictures is here so have a look => http://arthomobiles.fr/Maranello2012/maranello2012.htm I certainly did not regret the kilometers as the cars are quite fantastic and the Museum very good for pictures. Next report will be about the Pininfarina exposition at the Museo Ferrari Cheers Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow. The cars are totally different when I was there in May. In fact, I believe the only Ferrari there was a 166 Barchetta. I will look through my photos when I get home. Nice place, that museum.

arthobald - Thank you for posting your photos here and on your website, they are wonderful! Best regards, Paul
It was like that when I was there in October. The 166mm barchetta was my favourite: http://aldousvoice.com/2012/11/03/ferrari-166-mm-barchetta-touring/
Thank you guys. The place is so clear you have to everexpose much (in post production or while taking the picture) if you don't want the pictures to be dull. Looking forward for the next theme, even if I can't make 1500 km every six months. Dreaming about a Carrera Panamericana exposition.
Without any people in the background for scale, some of those cars look like scale models on dinner plates
Believe me they are all real and impressive. As much as possible, I take pictures without anybody on it.
Yes, the Ferrari Maserati Challenge exhibition at the MEF in Modena is a magnificent opportunity to see a significant gathering of relevant competition cars in a wonderful setting. Really worth a visit! You might like to know that, in the Maserati section of FerrariChat, a fairly interesting Maserati Exhibition thread is going on with several contributions discussing Maserati and Ferrari history and related problems of identity. For those of you having an interest for researching history, there might be quite a few inside perspectives there well worth reading and discussing. You might discover, for example, why the Maserati 450S prototype (3501>4501) on stage there does not have anything to do with the 4501 Costin-Zagato coupé, contrary to a long standing legend. The beautiful photographic report here linked by arthobald (thank you Nicolas for your lovely photos!) does still make reference to that theory, now contradicted by clear evidence. Have a look there, could be good fun. Franco Lombardi
This fantastic thread is here: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=387302 The thread of the month...!?
Franco & Giotto: thank you so much, I Will read all this ASAP and update my report. Bira: I would like it for sure
It is, IMO, a really interesting thread. I was a bit hesitant at first, as several friends suggested that the Internet is not the right place for a serious discussion. Your interest and your appreciation lead me to think this might be wrong. I may add that I am doing an effort, with the help of some friends and of the AISA (Associazione Italiana per la Storia dellAutomobile) in order to organize there (late February?) a meeting for a sort of work-shop discussing problems of identity and research in automobile history. I will keep you posted on this front. It might be a lovely opportunity to visit the MEF and its Ferrari-Maserati exhibition, taking part to an interesting seminar.
Hum, this morning I was browsing with my phone and did not realize who I was talking too. I apologize for my familiarity Very nice 450S! And now I go read the other thread cheers
You may also get to know why the 330P #0818, that was sold by Protheroe to Egon Hofer c. late 1960's/ early 1970's, and never sold by him, mysteriously turned up in an Italian colelction. So of course this is the Maranello Rosso/ Violatti collection claimant of #0818 which Ferrari Classiche has ruled to be the original. But hey, its Italy.
sounds like fatal accident, David Piper and drug smugglers were involved, which does not help to solve the riddle.
Great pictures. Thanks very much for sharing. Has the interior of the TdF (0793) been restored now? Some pics of how it was a few years back. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, it has been restored already in 2008. Before and after. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
