I am headed out to Las Vegas at the end of next month for the Clapton/Winwood concert at the MGM. I am going with some life-long friends from other parts of the country. We used to have a rock band in college and we still get together and play once or twice every few years.

Is anyone familiar with the Vegas music studios? I am looking at Digitial Insight on South Maryland Pkwy. Digital's price of $85/hour seems very fair. Any thoughs or experiences that you can share will be appreciated. We are just planning to rent studio space for half a day to have some fun - no delusions of rock and roll grandeur here.

    Thanks,
    Michael

My clients have worked with a few and Odds On Recording always came out great. They have multiple large recording rooms and record a lot of material for the major labels.

Have you gone yet? Don't go to Digital Insight. I did a short internship there and didn't like the studio much at all. Odds On looks like a really nice place, never seen it though. Also the studio in the Palms is an amazing place. If you go ask for Brett Spear. Tell him Randy Wright sent you. I haven't talked to him in a while but he should remember me. I believe those are the only 2 "good" studios in Vegas. All the rest are sub-par.
