Right as the sirens started going off in Colleyville, I hooked a 6-7 lb bass. Snapped a cellphone picture, threw back, and hauled ass. ;)

Sirens here in Lewisville, but fortunately we got just heavy rain. Looks like Haltom City was hit by tornados

An hour ago my lawn looked like a driving range! We got lots of hail, but that was about it. Got a nice down pour for about 5 minutes and some wind... here and gone.

I just got back from making a mad dash to protect the Teg, made it just just in time before it got worse. I found a car wash off University & Morton St near the Modern art museum & waited the storm out. Hail size was small but I didn't want to take chances. Looks like Haltom City & other parts of north east Texas got trashed.

    Looks like an Eddie Bauer..

We were at the Super Target on Overton Ridge shopping when the sirens went off. I took a peek outside, then gathered the family along the back wall of the store for a bit. Hard rain, no hail, and some sweet looking cloud movement as the front pushed through. It cleared off, and we finished shopping. On the drive home didn't see any damage, just lots of runoff from the short burst of heavy rain.. Once again it looks like the storm split over our area, and came back together to hammer East FW and Dallas.

Got sirens in Coppell as well. Penny-size hail and lots of wind and rain, but we escaped the worst of it.

We were in the pantry with the 16 year old and the dog. Sirens were on for a while. Came right across our area, but only some hail, with a few big ones.

I'm down the road a piece from writerguy... I didn't see hail quite that big but I did have a 6" diameter tree sheared off at the base. (the tree in the left freground of this picture)

I got caught near 114 and 161 right around 6:15-6:30p while listening to the reports of the storms direction. When I started off it said it was in N.Ft.Worth heading East.. I thought for sure I could head South on 161 and get around the South end of the Airport and miss it... then came the realization that everyone else was parking under the overpasses and created a parking lot of things.

So, multiple dings and 1 cracked windshield later, I am just glad the R-class and the S4 were parked underground... The Passat will be in for repairs Monday ( LOL )

    Steve

p.s. I am impressed with how accurate the reports were, I mean down to the street names and timing of it all... I was the idiot who was out there in it.. < smiling >

Yeah, we are okay. I was out of the house when it happened. My wife, son and mother-in-law climbed in the back bathroom while it blew over. The major damage was about two miles from the house. We did get baseball size hail though and my son put a couple of them in freezer for me to see when I got home. Now I need to inspect my roof for damage. We can have that fixed. I am very grateful that the major damage did not reach us.

    Thank you for asking Writerguy..........

I was sitting on a plane at DFW airport headed to Honolulu when this mess came through. Spent 3 hrs on the tarmac before taking off. It turned a long flight into a very long flight.

Just think what that hail would have sounded like inside an aluminum can... Damn did they check the plane for dings before they let you leave?
