    Going to be spending 2 weeks in/near Punta Gorda next month with my wife visiting her parents. I've been there a couple times before and have always had a decent time.

    Would love to find some places that would be truly memorable - thinking more along the lines of a really romantic date night thing where the two of us can just be together.

    My thoughts are along the lines of maybe an AWESOME place to eat, and perhaps a great place to listen to some music & dance a bit.

    Toss in a budget of say, $300 max to spend for an evening of fun (bump to $400 if a car/limo gets you there & back) - and I'd sure love to hear some ideas! :)

    You could also make a day trip out to Cabbage Key (from Pine Island), or drive out to Boca Grande. Both give you a feel for Old Florida.
