My Son is an out & out Mustang fan, He's at that age were he wants to do project car up, Here in the UK a Mustang can be had for reasonable money, but I'm concerned the overhaul could cost him dearly, to do up a sound car to something into good shape would cost how much? Guesses or experienced facts all welcome.

I assume one downside would be shipping of parts.

Depending on the model, virtually anything and everything is available for a Mustang. But that is probably here in the US. Are many parts available there?

Do a Mustang SVO. That powerplant was not uncommon in Europe.

What years are you interested in? The great thing about mustangs, is the fact that there are just about every part available for them. This includes all body panels suspension ect.....

True, the turbo 4cyl motor is the same as the German Murker... not sure about spelling...Maybe the MRKVI? Some kind of a car like that...

Aside from that, a "Fox Body" 1987-1993 would be the easiest and most pracitcle way to go. I build a stang drag car from ground up and know first hand it is not too hard to do, however, you are across the pond, so may be harder shipping parts. Parts are a dime a dozen for Fox Bodies.
