Oh my. I can't drive 50 yds without a "Wanna Race" or a revving of an engine. It doesn't really start til Wednesday but it's going good now. May just park the ol girl in the garage for a week.

I have a beach condo in Myrtle Beach (right where North Myrtle Beach starts).

I've never noticed Mustang Week before but I've sure noticed the two Bike Weeks in the past (the weeks before and after Memorial Day).

One guy that looked like he hadn't bathed in two weeks in a roughly 10 y/o 5.0 wouldn't give it a rest. I told him my clutch cost more than his car.

I tried everything to be nice at 1st. I even offered to go to a road course with him (for some reason he refused). After about 3 traffic lights of badgering, I got fed up.

Filling up with gas at self serve gas station in my 87 TR. middle aged man in next pump asked me if it was a new mustang? I said no, it was a Ferrari. He said Oh, I saw the horse, thought it was a mustang.

I'll wait until October to come down for a week like we usually do. It's more enjoyable then sans crowds.

I grew up near Myrtle Beach. I made the mistake of driving the 430 there 3 years ago. I felt like an alien. I couldn't have brought on more unwanted attention if the car was on fire. Never again.

And yes, most everyone wants to race you there.

It is really bad here. I've been in Greensboro, Wilmington and Charleston in my 360. You get some looks there but nothing outlandish.

In MB people step out on to the road and motion for me to spin my wheels. Minivans, pickups and every other car wants to race. Mustangs and the Japanese cars rev their engines (I'm shocked the engine in some hasn't let go).

One guy said you got the car and the girl. (I had my 15 year old daughter in the car with me)

All I can say is I'm glad I didn't get a spider. My yellow is drawing more than enough attention.
