    That is a very nice build-up. :)

I've got a 1/24 Tamiya Enzo but don't know if it's the carbon pattern--I guess it says so on the box.

    What else have you built?

    No Its not.
Most 1/24 Tamiya kits you need to paint. Except about 3 which have ready-made bodies...

    Hi Spook,

I have most of the tamiya ferrari kits....
Still have some in the building process.
These kits are not pre painted. You need to paint almost all the parts.

Will post more pics here later. Thanks guys!

    Hey.
    NICE COLLECTION!

Are the majority of those kits Fujimi??? If so, how did you find their quality?

    And about the kit.....

The RAREST kit released by Tamiya, that i got through a friend in Japan.

    Guess??

1/24 TAMIYA FERRARI ENZO CLEAR EDITION

Only 25 were made and they were won at the Tamiya stand at a Hobby show in Japan a year ago. And i just sold mine. Ill try and find pics for ya.

    Hi mike,

I never heard of a clear body enzo edition of tamiya kit. Surprise me. But I dun really like clear kits for display. But they are definately worth collecting. You must have made a quick buck.

Fujimi "normal" kits are not so well in details, eg the F355 and the 348 are not so fitting. But an experience builder can smooth out the gap.

Fujimi's high grade kits are superb.... such as the 288GTO and the Daytona. Full engine details!! But I guess you can't get them anymore. Out of production.

    Im pissed off.
I dont have to photos of the kit. But yeah, its was a "clear" edition. And i didnt make any money of it, i sold it to him for cost. I cant be bothered with a "clear-build".

Yeah i have heard about the fujimi kits being bad. But that wont stop me buying them!

Yeah the "Enthusiast" kits by Fujimi can be found on Ebay. They still lurk around there. Im currently hunting after a 288GTO. I plan to make a big Ferrari collection in 1/12. I already have the Tamiya Enzo. Well its on its way at the moment. I will post pics when it gets here.

And then as a centerpeice, i want to have the Protar F40 with all the detail as the center.

    Hi Vroom,

The key to building kits is patience and practice.
I didn't achieve these results on my first kits. In fact, after I gained more experience, I re-purchase some kits and build them again. Get some modelling books to read, i am sure you will succeed.

I am still improving myself by the day!

    Hi Mike,

I hunted the fujimi 288GTO for a long time before finally finding it. It is a superb kit..... The most detailed kit I have build to date. The fitting is very accurate. I had no problems with it.

LOL, I bought an inexpensive Revell 1:25 scale C5-R kit and really screwed up the painting and decals.... so I bought another kit from the same store, and built it, and it turned out decent... I was so impressed with my improvement that I bought ANOTHER one, and IMO it turned out really awesome.

Gizmo, that's an impressive collection--very, very nice work!

I've got about 30 Vintage Ferrari kits, a couple in progress, and maybe 10 other classic sports cars. I sold off all my post-1975 Ferrari models on ebay recently, except for the Tamiya Enzo--that's one I want to build. I looked at the box--it doesn't say anything about carbon pattern.

Buying cheap kits is the way to go for practicing up on painting skills to avoid ruining a good model. I also bought up a dozen or so cans of spray paint in colors that I wouldn't use on models but good for practice, cheap from a hobby store going out of business.

This is the best web page I've found for plastic and resin modeling; you may already know it, if not, definitely recommended:

I also have tamiya enzo in progres and i dont know anything about carbon edition so i order some carbon stickers from internet and mix the special carbon paint that it look like carbon. i have 13 ferraris in 1/24 and 3 in 1/18.
i think if you are a good model builder than you can buy cheap models and build them into superb models and spend some money:) i allways buy cheap models and i put so many stuff in them that everymodel is a beauty in the end. now im building enzo(tamiya) 1/24 and f40 LM (bburago) in 1/18. soon i will post some new pic
    bye bye klemen
