Yeah always. I've clayed it once or twice,. The paint is very smooth and I believe it's original. I've always been into detailing.

As you, I've a 83 US QV! Your car looks very nice with those 16" rims. Mine is red on tan too and I'm looking to upgrade to 16", as I've the standard 390 rims. I'm looking for one rear 16" x 8 to complete the set!!!
I will try to post some pics.

    Congratulations

    Nice!

I didn't know the '83 still had the black A-pillars, thought they were all red on QV's so I was wrong.
When did the change to body-colour A-pillars take place?

The change took place in '84 I believe, as I just purchased an '83QV and when it arrives I will post pics, but the A-pillars are black on the '83 models.
Gary Bobileff is painting mine back to black as a previous owner had them painted red. Great looking cars guys, can't wait to join the 308 owners as one of them!!

Wow, thats a very small group of cars total. I have read that in 1983, 871 GTS cars were made. That means only 871 Black Pillar cars total!

Cool, I got one! Yep, Thats one sweet Pillar!

That's just one reason why your 1983 is so popular among QV collectors.
Crazyhorse - Thanks! Mine are 16 inch 3-piece Speedlines, and there are so many styles from which to choose for your 82 GTSI.
