Are you *kidding* me? My wife would have me, and my chit, on the CURB if I went through cars as fast as you! That Dino aside, you can't be doing much better than breaking even - but even so, you keep stepping up to pricier cars!!! Insane, brotha...just insane! I like that. ;)

In all seriousness, why the quick unloading of the Jalpa? Was it not all you hoped it would be? The draw of the CT is undeniable, but you had to have known a month or two ago that you really wanted one...

So in March, you'll be looking for a BB512i, right? If my math is correct...that means you'll be in F40 territory by sometime mid-2007!

Can't wait to see pics of the CT, and best of luck with the Jalpa sale.

It's his personal policy to unload cars before they use the 1st tank of gas.

Sort of like AJ and his 328 328's.

thanks guys, but i have had the car since early December 2005. its been almost almost 3 months. :) the Jalpa has been reliable and the most "exotic" of the exotic cars i have had. i prefer it to a 308, but i want a v12 carb car while i am still young enough to take the financial hit and while we still have relatively cheap fuel. i dont want to wait till i am in my 50's to get " the car of my youth". i am 34 and want my toys now!!!

pic : my Jalpa, my old / sold Urraco and a friends 308 gts.

Nice Lambo.. There was a "classic" type auction down in Atlantic City, NJ last weekend. JJBESTBANC sponsored it. Was a 3 day event.

The reason I tell this tale is a White Jalpa was going to be on the block. I dont know what it pulled or if it even sold. Maybe you can contact jjbest at

    www.jjbest.com

and find out if it sold. That way maybe you can get some type of idea what the market is like. Dont see many Jalpa's for sale. I always liked the fact that it was the Lambo behind the scenes to the Countach.

Didnt Rocky Balboa have a black one in Rocky IV?

FYI--I checked out your ad.. It doesnt say how many miles are actually on the clock.

Gary had the speedo fixed / replaced in 2003/2004 when the major overhaul was bieng done. the car shows 18,000 KM on the new speedo and 40,000 km and change on the old one. i can get exact figures for a buyer if needed. brakes, wheel bearings, struts, tie rods, engine , transaxle/ diff and clutch have all been replaced/ serviced /rebuilt in the last 18 months or so as have all the aircondition lines, fuel lines and cooling hoses. i simply just want a carb countach or a carb B Boxer . i will be financing part of the next car to keep from paying out all that cash!

Beautiful car. If you don't mind me asking, how does it compare to the 308 in terms of driving dynamics?

Are Jalpas as maintenance intensive as the 308s? I ask only because they have timing chains instead of belts...and also because of parts availability.

    Thanks!

308s are fun, but the Jalpa is MUCH more "muscular", yet its docile enough to drive all the time. my 308s( 3 of them) were a totally different experience. i wish i could own both, but i am moving on to a 12 i hope.

I can't begin to tell you how much I like the Countach.... The early ones, even the wing/bolt on Anniversary Editions. There are 2 for sale in FerrariAds right now. God I love them.

I want to talk my wife into letting me sell the TR so that I can buy the red one on FerrariAds.

How did I know my name would come up in this thread somehow? ;)

    Michael,

Good luck with the sale. That pic of the three cars lined up is awesome. Is it me or did cars from the 70's and 80's have so much more character then they do today? The lines were so interesting... :)

I like the lines of both - Here is a neat line up - From one side, the old cars & from the other, newer cars.

:) thanks, i am in the process of selling my house as well as the Lambo. once i get resettled i will be i the position to get a Countach. i do belive a BB512 is a more user friendly car, but i still want a hot, hard to see out of Countach, even if i just keep it a short time.

i have commitment issues i guess, you should see me go through female friends :) . the cars stay around longer !

pics are of my typical weekend with my car friends that i hang with.

hats off to member JFrazar and his Lambo, Lotus and Ferrari collection  the group of us got together for these pics. my old 308GTB is in there too !!!

i am thinking of listing the jalpa on ebay? thoughts ?????

    Mike,

Sorry to hear you are selling your car; but I am glad to hear you are looking for a carbed Countach.

I have been out of the loop as I am still in Manila, Philippines until the 7th of this month.
