http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=10074 Just a plug for my 911. I sold the 308 (and my Lotus), and am on the path to buy 100 acres of land. 911 needs to go next. Thanks. Nice to see a car with both front and rear spoilers...that's a nice selling point because they were supposed to come in pairs. Short shifter is nice too. Looks like a great car! GLWS
Thanks. I have had an account there for years also. I sent him a pm with my contact info. I am in Savannah GA.
Still here. I want a muscle car and an Elise before the GA tax law hits next march. No i wont sell this for the $17k offers i have been getting, its a nice 88 G50 coupe. But serious offers are welcome. Michael
Sorry, I thought it was still in Ferrariads. I cant link to Cars.com as I am at work. Ill repost the ad here, and link to the Cars.com ad later. Car has 53,000 original miles, with a clean clear GA title showing correct actual miles. Airconditioning can be put in and recharged if needed, but this whole series of 911 has lethargic AC. Edit: try this link to Ferrariads for my car, it should work as you are Silver subscribed: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=10074
This is not so much for anyone on FerrariChat, just an observation. I have had a ton of calls on the 911, and all of them from new 1st time buyers who dont know **** about what they are looking at. Look: Targas are not as valuable as a G50 coupe. Go buy the $11k Targa with 150k miles on it if thats all you can afford. Dont try to tell me my 88 coupe is the same as a used up Targa with a 915 trans in it. Cabs: some like em, some dont. i loved my slopenose Cab, and would buy another. Mine had a new top and back window, for $500. on it. Thats way cheap considering you cant get the back glass for a targa, and glass shops have a hell of a time changing them if you find glass. Coupe glass is cheap and you can do all of it yourself. I took the majority of my 911 books down . i have read all of these cover to cover at least twice. i suggest to you the reader of this rant to buy some of these so as not to waste the time of the sellers out there, and to protect yourself from liars and thieves in the car biz. I have actually emailed this summary and this pic two 3 "buyers" of my 88 911 today. i am so tired of the questions they should already know the answers to as informed buyers. otherwise in my opinion, they have no business buying one, or wasting my time. So if that makes me ******, so be it. i am not here to teach the world about 308's and 911's if i have one for sale. Due Intelligence and PPi's are ok, but some of the public " buyers" are cheap ass tire kickers who need to buy a modern car with a warranty and a dealer to " take care " of the car. I feel better already. Image Unavailable, Please Login
as a long time porsche owner...i have owned coupes, cabs and 1 targa. 1 targa is all it takes to realize one should never own another!!! no mater how good the targa, they are all squeeky, flexible flyers and never to be compared with a good 911 coupe. a g50 coupe in the hands of a good owner is actually an investment. the 3.2 is a joy to drive and in my mind, is as pure a sports car as one can find at any price! first time buyers need to look at a used 996 that no one wants and therefore are virtually free. a g50 coupe is for a buyer that knows what they seek. pcb
Thanks Peter. 2 of the 3 "buyers" seem way to concerned about every little thing that "might" go wrong with the car. As if I am to have super powers or a crystal ball of some kind. Its an old used car. Sheet breaks. Fix it when it does. Simple. Easy. Why is this so hard to fathom? I have plans to buy a few cars before the new GA tax law goes into effect. Otherwise I would just keep the 911 and add to my pile.
Hi, I'm Eduard from Karlsruhe, Germany As infected by 911 Virus since i 1988 started my studies in mechanical engineering i had the chance to explore this engine and gear box as a student. And now my kids will start to study so it's time for me to get one, won,t be 45 again Your car seems not to be driven that much, did you had more fun with the ferrari? Ha ha! Never, i tested out what it should be in the last two years and i tell you nothing beats a good 3.2 G50. I would be really crazy enough to import this beautiful one, so he would be treated like it should be. If you would give me that chance. Have a lovely place for him in my garage and some well known free porsche mechanics, where i spend some of my weekends. Yes my wife hates them, but she will understand some day. Yes i am a 1st time buyer, but i know what i want and it's nothing else then a 1988 3.2 G50 Coupe. So please get in contact or tell me how to contact you. Best Regards Eduard
