Well, to put it mildly, I'm quite excited about my first Ferrari purchase. It’s an ‘03 Coupe, F1, Fiorano Red, in outstanding condition. Here’s a coupe of links to some low res pics:

    http://www.luoxley.com/360/e0_4.jpg

I just returned from my pre purchase inspection and also had the local Ferrari dealer to an A-Z inspection including compression testing, etc.

It should be here in Greenwood Village (Denver suburb) in about a week.

It has one small rock chip in the front, about 1 mm in size. Does some one have the correct paint code for an 03 Fiorano Red? I want to fix that small imperfection right away, so where’s the best source to get high quality touch up paint?

I’m sure more questions will follow.

    Thanks, Bill

Well ghost, I’ll buy you a beer either way, but, no, actually I first saw it on ebay, and called the dealer direct.

And Willis360, I knew the paint code would be on the car, but I don’t have the car yet, so was going to plan ahead and pick up some high quality touch up paint at the PPG store for that small chip, but wanted to make sure I got the right color.

Per 8valve’s post, the 321 code is the only one that has the Fiorano name in it, so seems likely that is right.

    Thanks all,

This car, in my test drive, at sea level in San Diego, was “scary” fast. I’m wondering how much my 6,000 foot altitude will change that?

Well, it'll be noticeable. But you always wanted to live at sea level anyway, right? Maybe it's time to move. :)

Awesome car, you'll love it, even at 6000'.

No worries Bill - just pulling your leg. Great minds think alike. The car is a great color. Good luck with it, and be sure to post more pictures!

You could have them open the trunk lid and tell you the paint code over the phone. That way you'd be sure to get the right touch-up paint.

Bill, I've used this company for touch up paint on my Miata, and 350Z... Both perfect matches... Here is a link to their web-site... http://www.paintscratch.com/ ... If you search Ferrari, 2003, they list #321 as your color code...

Congratulations Man! Thats an awesome color scheme. The piping is perfect.

If I were you, I'd be driving down there to pick it up personally right now... I wouldn't be able to wait a week!

Well, it's here, but the transporter delivered it to the F dealer instead of my home, so now I have various things to do before I can get the temporary tag.

So can't pick it up until tomorrow. Frustrating, but I guess 1 more day won't hurt!
