The 600 miles for breakin go by remarkably quick!
I was told just drive it like you stole it. I have 3400 remarable miles, with ZERO issues. I say that as most Calis in the dealership do NOT have this many miles
We'll have to have a meet up for us relatively new owners... you, Dave, John, and I. Where's the most central place?
Wow, great idea, however we are geographically diverse road trip wise. Need to find a place that attracts fruit flies...
I'm visiting Florida with my wife and 2 youngest boys this Easter. A week enduring Orlando and a week in Clearwater to recover! Won't have my car of course Any of you guys around that neck of the woods?
Had the same experience on Saturday. First, after driving maybe 15 city miles I stop for 20 mins to do an errand and when i start back up all kinds of errors and reduced lumpy power (and "go to dealer"). Another couple of miles to home and I shut it off. Same evening go out again and 1 error (engine control unit..."go to dealer") and can feels mostly normal. Sunday, same error on start-up. Make one stop for an errand, restart, no errors. Everything normal since then. Keep driving until it won't go anymore!
Recently had my car detailed by Jean-Claude of Detailed Designs Auto Spa here in the greater Atlanta area. I HIGHLY recommend them as my car came out wonderful. I did a write-up about it in the Detailing section here on F Chat (http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/detailing-showroom/479798-great-experience-detailed-designs-auto-spa-greater-atlanta-area.html). If you guys have any questions let me know. Here's what the car looks like before and after: http://youtu.be/s7M_8_APhuo -Keith
PS. By detailed I mean they did a paint correction, added some more Suntek, corrected some of the previously installed Suntek, conditioned and protected the interior leather, and applied Modesta BC-04 to the entire exterior. Car looks awesome and I feel much more confident now about the car being protected since it's my DD.
Wow, Keith, it looks great, quite worth it. The video shows the difference very well. Looking very sharp!
Fantastic. Job well done. Looks awesome. I'm interested to know what was the problem with the previous Suntek? Was the car originally fully covered with Suntek after delivery? If so I presume the swirls were in the underlying paint as the film should be self healing. That would suggest the final paint prep from the factory leaves a bit to be desired. I think it's probably worth doing a paint correction detail on delivery and then putting the film on.
^Correct. Plus, due to the hood of the Cali T being so long, many installers will have to use a second piece of film in the upper corners of the hood (if they choose not to stretch the film). The original installer did a decent job, but the gap was just a tiny bit wide which allowed dirt to get trapped in there. DDAS were able to do a better/tighter job.
If I didn't love looking at your beautiful MSA approved car, I would have puked from the back and forth and the music
East Coast would be a blast!! I am so hoping to get a couple of weeks to make a great road trip like that! Alas, it will be a while before that time... I've always wanted to see the fall colors there. John
Keith- Followed your thread and am very happy for you. What is your verdict about the quality of the Premium Hi Fi vs. the Standard stereo on the T? Thanks!
After following this thread, what's the consensus for the Premium Hi-Fi in the T. Worth it or not? Thanks!
My wife and I had a chance to swing by the factory for a tour during our honeymoon in October. We weren't able to grab too many photos (they take away your cameras and cover up the lenses on your smart phones), but here are a few. It was a great experience and I highly recommend anyone who has not done it to do so. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
