Bought July 2013 with 34k miles. Everything worked, even air and windows. Listed at $27.5k - agreed upon $23.5k. Did not come with much in the way of "extra's". Essentially, just the car. More parts were promised post purchase - but never found by Seller. Rebuilt transaxle by best Ferrari guy in Chicago area - $9k - 1k miles ago. Car had been all over the country - and just in Chicago for a brief time. OK..I've got more than $23.5k in it. $3k for full inspection by Ferrari guy pre-purchase - same guy who had been maintaining the car. New distributor oil seals (one was leaking so I did both). New spark plug wires. All the stuff that had aged from sitting. Body looked pretty good. A few "combat wounds" that had started to crack the small amount of filler on the car. Virtually NO rust - but filler had wicked some moisture in a coupled of spots. Had those cut out. Biggest blemish - bottom of doors. Bottoms had been replaced some years ago - but had not been rustproofed like the rest of the inside of the door. So I had those areas cut out again - then rustproofed in the new metal with POR 15. Second area was front of car - in front of the hood - at the "T" of the metal. Front end had been damaged at some point. They did a nice job of banging out the damage - but the filler applied had aged, wicked some moisture and thus cracked a bit. Had all of that ground out - and new metal to close a couple of pin holes. Paint job and all body work - another $3k. So I'm at $30k - but she is mechanically perfect - the body pretty well mint - and runs great. Seat bid was $2.5k - BUT, I took your advice and did Leatherique. INCREDIBLE transformation - for $150. And...I get to keep my headrest horsey!!!!! Learning these can be quite reliable. Drove it all last Summer - and not a miss or strange noise. Stored all winter - indoors of course - in unheated attached garage - at up to -15F - no poop - this last Chicago winter. Started RIGHT UP when I wanted to start it. Amazing. My Porsche and Jag BOTH had to be jumped if not started every three weeks or so. NOT....the 308. A real stud. Best starting car I had this winter. Ordered Birdman's fuse box - thus the covers on the floor. I think I am in love!!!!

Came with a subwoofer and a new radio. Will pull the subwoofer. But.....I don't listen to radio when I drive in any event. It's the DRIVE I am after. I can listen to the radio at home.

AWESOME!!!! Did you buy this from Kevin in Glenview? It looks like the car he lent us for my Magnum PI theme party at Roys downtown in March 2013. If so, that car is famous:)

I actually regretted not buying that car.
My carbed car is being worked on now, but looks like I may finally take delivery late May/ early June. Let's meet up for a drive somewhere around here; I'd love to see that car again!

What a great buy. It's impossible to find a 308 at that price in the UK.

Subwoofer not in a box. Sorry.

The car was in Ebay - I was looking for SOMETHING NEW to add to my small collection. Thought - hmmmmmmmm....wonder what the price of admission would be for a ...........FERRARI??????? Had wanted a 308 since Magnum days. As we all think we believe it to be one of the most beautiful cars made, Slipped off my radar last 20 years as being too expense - and elusive. But I had never really checked actual prices. and was quite surprised at how low they were. Anyway, guy had one just across town - looked at it for kicks - just tire kicking at that point - but..............it all just worked out.
