I'll vouch for that. Having Scott over makes it a good time. :)

I think Scott meant that pulling someone ELSE'S engine is fun! Pulling out your own engine sucks because it means your car is out for the count. But helping pull someone else's engine, then getting in your perfectly functional Ferrari and going home, now that is pretty fun.

Yes thats exactly what I meant, although getting in my 91 Acclaim isn't as much fun as many may think it is. ;)

Oops! Sorry, I mean, "Pulling your engine is really great fun and a chance to learn all about your car too." David, if you lived in MA where the weather completely sucks for half the year anyway, you wouldn't feel so bad about it.

HA! I wish I could say it handles like an F-car. I wish I could say that. Lord knows its is the BEST car to lane flirt in. All the fly honies driving in their Civics and Jettas look at me and know that I'm pimpin in the Acclaim. Sheeeet. Oh wait, no they're not. :(

If I only knew how this felt.......

Honestly- if pulling out your own engine (or somebody else's) isn't fun to you, than Verell's house may NOT be the place for you!

Wrenching on cars, is my own personal therapy. That is one of the reasons I think the 308 series is so great. In my humble opinion, they are relatively straightforward to work on, the parts are quite readily available (for the most part), and because of the volume of cars produced, have the most informative people around to help you through, based on their past experiences. Working on cars is one of those yin/yang things. Sometimes is isn't the destination, but the journey that is the fun part. Be it, yanking a motor out, doing a total restoration on a car that people can't believe you actually paid money for, and putting it all back together in working order, well there is some intense personal satisfaction. Don't get me wrong, working on your car when it is down during the summer season is less than desirable, or working on your basic commuter transportation when you rely on it for work the next day can be a pain where it hurts. But working through the events to get it done and back together......totally awesome...It is great to be a gearhead!

As our Brotha Tom-ah, has expressed-ah! it is the Journey! I-ah said it is the JOURNEY-ah! along the path of wrenching-ness-ah! that we ALL must-ah enjoy-ah!

If you've-ah, ever been down & out in a 308-ah, and had your 3X8 Bretheren-ah, there to help you find your way-ah. Lemme hear ya say AMEN!

If-ah, you are the luckiest 308-ah owner on the planet-ah, and got your-ah cam belts changed before catostrophic engine-ah failure-ah! Lemme hear ya say AMEN!

THESE My Brotha's and Sista's are just SOME-ah, I said are JUST SOME-ah of the examples we as the Faith-ah-ful-ah, Gearheads-ah can enjoy-ah!

Now I say unto you-ah, go and BE. I said GO AND BEEEE! With-ah your fine auto's and-ah Be happy!

    Lemme hear ya say AMEN!

I would give my left gonad to have worked at the Ferrari factory in the 40's pulling engines and wrenching on them. Those guys were masters and the level of drama had to be almost dripping. To each thier own I guess. Best friends and some of the best fun I ever had have been wrenching on cars or airplanes.
