They've changed the front lenses from orange to white, I prefer the orange ones as on your real car.

I've seen Gary attract a crowd by opening the hood up!

:) i asked a Moderator if i could post a WANTED thread in Rossa, but was told to ask Rob..... which is fine. i delayed in asking him as i was on the hunt and had feelers out. i was looking for a 76-77, and i prefer a GTB. but your car, in yellow is stunning! hey, if it was meant to be , it would be!!! if you get a yellow TR you must share lots of pics..... :) if you sell off any 308 parts let me know. i just ordered a euro front valance for my GTB. going to look for QV wheels or get the repos from T Rutlands.

how many miles are on your car??? i have a local friend i am going to refer to this thread.

    best.

    Michael

    Scott,

You are so naive... (inside joke)

Boxers came with either white or orange lenses, depending on what country the car was being delivered to.

Wow..that silver 512BB is stunning. Be better with clear lenses in the front though...and I'd prefer the non-Boxer paint scheme...but still, damn that's nice.

That's my Bimmer in the picture. Too nice to part with. Everything else I have is going. I sold my 240Z a couple of weeks ago, cleaning house.
The Acura Legend is for sale as well as my Jimmy SUV.

I like the silver Boxer as well but prefer it with the Boxer paint scheme. Clear lenses too.

I love the style of the boxer but I have always leaned towards a TR. It's an icon that can't be mistaken for anything else.

I also like the idea of the radiators in the back on the TR along with more luggage space. I remember numerous summer days with "Toasty Toes" in my 308 and that's with a sealed firewall and new foam seals.

As Johnny Depp said in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean
    "I probably deserved that..."

    Chuckle...

PS - I like the Silver boxer just the way it is; orange lenses are striking to the neutral paint scheme and the Boxer trim adds a bit of contrast, lowers the visual line, picks up the black trim parts and is authentic for a Boxer.

Is that what you are buying? :)

I just posted a thread on "Clown Lips -vs- Boxer pricing" over in the Boxer/TR section yesterday. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116829

I actually think they are kinda cool in a way, but the pricing has gotten crazy...

No, like you said, the prices are silly on those, but I like them anyway. Kind of in the niche of an old school 456.

I think they have better curves than a Daytona and even though they carry a resemblance to Chevy Monza in the rear roofline/quarter window area I think they have a panache all their own. BTW, the Monza came AFTER the C/4.

I like the square trunk lip & triple tail lights ala 365BB. The long low hood with oval grill is classic and well proportioned. I'll take one in Grigio with Bordeaux/Back interior.

I think I read that they have power steering which would make them much nicer around town. I also heard the rear self-leveling suspension is frightful to the wallet to repair (among other things). Valve adjust requires removal of all six carbs!! Yikes!!

Well, I almost had it sold but a home remodeling project took precedence. Time to actively advertise.

Look - it's an exotic and by definition there are a limiited number of buyers and sellers. The fact is that for every car there is a person in the market for that exact car - so advertize widely, and be patient. That advice paid off for a recent seller of a 3.2 Mondial I know very well.

I hadn't really tried to hard to sell it so far, just mentioned it to a co-worker and he told his brother. He really liked the car but his wife reminded him of the remodel on the house.

I am in the process of selling two other cars at this time so it's been keeping me away from really promoting this one.
