Well it is with mixed emotions that I sold my 84 QV Euro today. It was a ton of fun, and I will miss her but it is time to move on and finish my old Porsche project. I hope the new owner has even 1/2 as much fun as I did with it. Bye! Already planning the next one, once the 356 is done. Maybe go way more current like 430?? or stay classic with a 355. that is a fine looking car. the euro bumpers and spoiler really make this car!!! you will miss her!!!
Jay Just for our info, what did you sell it for? I agree with your next purchase, 430. My next car will be a 430spider. Don
Car sold for $41,000 Cdn. Only showed it twice, both people had been looking and researching for quite some time both offered asking or very near, I accepted $1000 less than asking for speed of transaction. I believe very fair to all parties. What I found interesting was that I did not get a single inquiry off of Ferrari Chat. I had thought that this is where I would have sold it actually. Not sure if the car being outside of the US or price was the contributing factor but am open to thoughts and feedback.
41,610.00 USD for a well sorted 84 Euro raises the bar for the 308 series, mileage, link to additional pic's. Good luck with the bathtub project, another desireable classic as well.
I saw the same trend in the 348/355 section a few months ago. It seemed like every week someone was selling their 348 or 355. The trend has slowed down now though.
Jay, if you are working on a 356 and had this 308, the 355-430 route is likely not going to ring your bell. They are both fantastic cars, but clearly not classics and with power steering and power everything they are a LOT more like driving a current car than a classic. When you make the decision, come back and talk to us. It will be interesting to see which way you go. Best wishes, MB
