I just recently put in a set of upgraded TPS chips from TAP, a set of Hyper Flow CATS and a K&N air filter from Ricambi America. You can feel the extra pulling power with all the mods. I have to admit when I shifted into 3rd gear at 7500 rpm I didn't expect to get tire spin. Thinking this might be a fluke, I tried it again and once again with a friend in the car with me. No fluke. Got rubber every time. After speaking to Daniel from Ricambi America who in my opinion is the greatest vendor around said it's not a common thing to be able to spin the tires going into 3rd gear.

Now I'm curious...... Is this something 348's can do with bolt-on mods?? Who on the board has experienced this also?

I tested the car on my g-tech:
    0-60mph = 5.15 best of three runs
1/4 mile = 13.5@105mph best of three runs

I feel with some practice I can get it down a bit more.

No it wasn’t difficult just take your time. You will have to jack up the car, drop the muffler, and remove the air cleaner box and the heat shield. The only issues I had was the bolts on the bottom that bolt to the header were tricky. (Not much room to work with on those bolts). All and all it was a straight forward bolt-on procedure. Daniel from Ricambi America was very helpful with questions I had before I installed them.

    Nice!

I think you may have an easier time chirping the tires due to the higher gear ratio. The later 348's got the ratio to help with acceleration times.

    Thanks.
The color is Rosa Metalizato. I think thats how they spelled it. I have been trying to find out how many Spiders were produced in this color. Everyone I spoke to even Ferrari mechanics and sales people said they have never seen one in this color. It might be one of a very few out there. Thanks for asking.

I'm interested too. I have Tubi/Hyperflows already and am thinking about chips.

That’s the one thing I regret not doing. I was just so into getting the mods in that I never ran the G-tech before doing them.

Hey, fair enough!!! Not like I dyno'd my car before I put the exhaust on either (or after, but it certainly SOUNDS faster!!)

Mine doesn't chirp on the 2-3 shift but then again I do have 295 section tires...

    Cheers

The blue with those wheels looks great! I am toying with the idea of getting a new set of wheels. If you don't mind me asking, what are the specs and make of your wheels?

Thanks - both for the compliment and for the excuse to post another pic :) I'm 90% sure these are older Speedline/Cargraphics 3-piece wheels - 18x8 fronts and 18x10 rears. They were on the car when I got it and as I've said before when they have been off the car I had bigger issues than what the wheel brand was. I'm running 235/40-18 fronts and 295/35-18 rear tires - Bridgestone S-02's. Currently Champion Motorsport seems to have the same wheels as mine, but I just checked their website and they no longer show any Ferrari fitments (they used to show 360 and 355) so I don't know where you could get ones just like mine. Cargraphics has a fitment for the 355 (which should work on the 348 spider) but they are a double-ten spoke and a bit fiddly I think. Having said all that you could do worse than a set of 355 wheels, or 512TR wheels. Also there are three-piece Speedlines that were available on the 348 competizione which Chiaro Slag here has on his Testarossa and they are gorgeous.

So there are a few options for you - I can come up with more depending on the look you are thinking of!!

Took this yesterday on a run with a couple of Gallardos - they were faster but jeez I sounded good!!

    Cheers
    Kevin
