Affter years of ownership... I finally understand the rear 348 design from this picture. The rear grill and engine lid match!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm glad you went with Nero as well, it looks absolutely amazing. Great looking job. If you haven't already installed the rearview mirror, you might consider going with an aftermarket mirror that isn't so damn tall. Our rear windshields are so squat that there is a ton of wasted mirror real estate, and it cuts down on our forward visibility. Not sure if the US 355 mirrors are the same as the UK ones, but I would think so. Not only that, but I'm sure a standard aftermarket mirror would be dirt cheap compared to Ferrari's. Of course, if you're after "correctness", then nevermind. Again, the car looks amazing, and just wait until you can shoot some pics on an overcast day, you'll be even more glad you went with the straight black.
Too late. The windscreen fitter said the Windscreen Boss looks to be the same as a BMW & VW one. So there is a possibility that they will fit. No loss of legroom and I'm 6' tall. I do sit a bit lower though, plus there's more room behind teh seat. I'd like to try and get teh seat to move back further though so that it's easier to get in and out.
That looks amazing, Makes me kinda think I should have gotten a 348 and just rebuilt it! Hope you enjoy your NEW baby.
Day 48 Cars all ready and waiting to be picked up this coming saturday from Al's place. Dave will be coming by in the next couple of weeks to spend 2 days on the interior and exterior. The exterior will be machine polished again and then given a coat of Zymol Royale. The interior will have all the leather treated. So this is the last email I received from Al. He's sent me a total of 394 pictures. Al says......... "Final flat down & machine polish done, now ready for Dave & Ian. Also done all of the flatting & hand polishing in the door strakes, sills & rear grille." . You know my views about the stripe Grow a pair and just do it We will hook up this year on one of your Scud runs mate
To offer a dissenting view... I think it looks particularly marvelous - especially without the stripe. All the best, Andrew.
Dave's round my house now doing my Jaguar. He saw the car on wednesday and according to him, the paint looks like glass. Only 18 hours to go till I'm in the drivers seat. Don't think I'm going to get much sleep tonight!!!!
Now Sy, did i hear that you are never going to venture out in 348 in the rain again with this lovely new finish? slippery road Sy!
