It's not done yet, there's still plenty of things left to do and money to be spent.

Here is my to-do list before I can call this project finished:

    1-change all brake pads
    2-install my Nouvalari exhaust
    3-paint plenum chambers red
4-carbon dip engine bay panels, air box covers & calipers
    5-change the power steering reservoir
    6-rechrome all the bolts
7-change all center caps on the wheels
    8-Change 2 carpet retainer clips
9-final glaze on the new paint
10-black stripe on the side and rear bumper
11-install 3m clear bra on the front
    12-change the wipers or blades
    13-clean the engine compartment
    14-fix handbrake sensor
15-adjust & frame the licence plate

I will keep posting the progress here so there's more to come very soon...

You've done a fantastic job, and I am sure inspired people to do some projects.

Where did you find an OEM windshield? I need to get one. I am just outside Toronto. Mine is de-laminating.

    Thanks.

But seriously, I start to drive once the salt has washed away and the pot-holes have been filled. Which in Montreal means late August. LOL!!!!

Not sure what you decided on brake pads, but just as an FYI, I put on the Porterfield R4-S recently as my OEM's squealed like a pig. I had heard they changed the compounds on the Porterfields and that they squealed now too, but I mine are very quiet so I would recommend you look into those.

Portefield R4-S is exactly what I bought. got them from Ricambi...

My pads weren't squealing but since I am taking out my calipers for detailing/painting, I figured I would change all the pads and put the best thing available.

What? You did all of that work on the interior yourself and you're going to pay someone else to intall your exhaust? It's very easy...

A service manual almost holds your hand.... you'll have to stick your toes in the water soon enough. Sooner or later you'll know every bolt on that car.

The exhaust might be the easiest thing to get your hands dirty with. Take off the diffuser channels, take off the rear bumper, 3 exhaust clamps and 4 bolts and it's off. Install is reverse of removal.

I agree with bobzdar, the exhaust system is child's play after what you have already done. So jump in and get it done. If you have questions, just post up some pics of the issue and there are plenty of people here to help. It really is an easy task. ;)

The thing is that I don't have the space to work properly and no one that can help me since I have kept the purchase of the car a secret from most of my family and friends. I am planning a big "reveal" next month once the car is 100% done.

I therefore can't keep the car at my home and don't want to risk scratching the bumper by removing it alone now that it looks new in order to try putting the exhaust myself.

My mechanic who performed the major said he had a very difficult time fitting the fabspeed setup with the exhaust and I just don't want to get into that mess right now and I will leave it to the experts.

How much should I expect to be charged in terms of labour hours to replace the exhaust according to you guys if it's so easy and requires minimal time and effort?

Fab, your mechanic has been so reasonable in the costs of the services you listed I wouldn't be concerned at all at what he will charge to do the Muffler install. It is quite simple though, I have done it :) It took me about 2 hours taking my time and I had a hand when taking off the bumper so that I wouldn't scratch it. We could do it at my place but you wouldn't save much money by the time you drove to Ottawa from Montreal and back again. If you need to do some other more labor intensive work in the future that would be easier to do using a lift we can do it at my place over a weekend :)

Carm you are far too generous...Next time you're in Montreal, supper is on me!

I am actually going to a different guy this time. He's a little more expensive but he is a Ferrari specialist. I want to give him a try because I've heard great things about him.

I think that he should be able to install the new system in 1 to 1.5 hours. I have removed and replaced mine on my 348 without removing the bumper in around 30 minutes. Not sure why the bumper needs to be removed on a 355 but it may be needed. If not, then it should be 1 hour or less in labor time imho. ;)
