My Spider is at Prova Motori for a clutch, belts, mounts, and annual so my garage looks empty. I've started working on the Unimog, but it's not the same. I miss just opening the door and looking at the lines of that 360. Just sitting in it and listening to the engine warm up, waiting for the variators to change the idle.... So a made one. She's shiny and doesn't take up too much space. Almost five feet wide so about 3/4 scale I'd guess. Maybe a bit less. And she looks really nice when I turn down the lights. I leave her turned on all the time.

    Very cool idea!

All you need now is a recoding of the car's startup which plays when you walk in the garage.

I feel your loss. Mine has been in for two weeks now. Getting timing belts, bearings, motor mounts, centerlock wheels and annual. I'm sitting in my garage, coffee in hand staring at an empty garage. Heartbroken till she's back.

    Thanks. I thought about it.

And it's eight feet wide not five feet as I stated. That was as wide as I could get on a 4'x8' piece of steel. I could have done full scale if I had a 4'x10' laying around that day.

I use Ferrari Steve and he really does a great job. My 360 just had all the major service done there so he is practiced up on your model.

He went to 360 technical training in Marenello when they first came out. And he's meticulous so I've always been very comfortable with his work. And he's a really nice guy.

It's cut from 10 gauge mild steel. 0.135", on my CNC plasma table with a 2" mild steel strap welded around the perimeter. San blasted and powder coated a very close to Corso Rosso red. I cut a piece of backing wood in the same shape and put an LED rope light on the board, then hang the metal on the front of that.
