I've had my 360 for 6 years, but have had 1 piece Sparco's in them for most of that time. I recently put the stock seats back in (standard seat), and I like the easy access, but I had forgotten how uncomfortable they are. I'm 6'4, 210lbs, and my problem area is that the side bolsters are too narrow below my shoulder blades. Half the time, I put an ACE hardware kneeling pad behind my back, and that helps, but it's not a great solution.

I've thought about finding used 430 seats, but have heard differing stories on whether they're better for my need. I've also seen the sparco sport seats, but have not sat in them. Has anyone else run into this problem? Anyone found a good solution?

    Thanks,
    David

Any chance you could go to the closest dealer and sit in a 430?
That would be the best fit test.

Yes, I do plan to check out the dealer. Just curious to see if anyone's had the same problem, and what they did for it.

mmmm the factory hard back seats are great! Though they are $$$. The daytonas seem to have more stuffing and therefore you sit up higher

The stupid side bolsters are too narrow for everyone's shoulder blades...

I'm similar size to you and have the same problem. I sat in a 430 recently and it was much better. I would go for the Sparco race seats first though so long as they fit.

Yup those back pinch-ers are in the wrong place for this guy too. I love the idea to use the Sparco seats as well. I would do it in a second if I had a place to store my original seats and keep them pristine. I am assuming that the sparcos are lighter of course. I wouldn't care if I wore out the bolster sliding into the seat through a 1/4 opened door!

It probably makes more sense to do this in a car without electronic seats but has anyone ever done this? Added a non-electrical seat to a car that is set up for electrical adjustments?

I like the look of the contoured stitching of the Sparco 505 seat as shown in this picture on right. I think it would compliment the dash contour nicely in my 360. Here you can see what troubles lie ahead for seat swapping though. The Sparco is much thicker on the bottom compared to the others shown here so when you add in a seat rail and whatever else is required to make it work there is a potential for fitment problems.

I don't think 430 seats would be any better, but if you can find a local 430, try them out.
I'm 6'1" and 215 and my f430 seats bolsters do the same to me

I have a 430 with the carbon sports seats and they are a tight fit on me but not uncomfortable. The dealer told me they were large size but I am a "slim fit" ie 42 chest jacket 30 waist and just under 6 foot.
This has lead me to wonder what sort of size person Ferrari make seats for if I am a snug fit in a large seat ?
Does anyone know what size all the different seats are - an what sort of size people have to be to fit them? If the OP is uncomfortable in his factory seats could it be they are just the wrong size ?

OK I am almost done geeking on seats today. These Veilside models look great too but I don't know if they have a suede/leather option. They look like cloth to me which doesn't work at all but I like the carbon construction and the cushion thing on the rear of seat. That alone might help to clear the pinch points. I think I saw a picture where that part looks velcroed on so it could be made to different thicknesses I would imagine. I wonder if Veilside would do a custom run with Alcantara and no logo?
