This WAS the link, but it looks like Mitchell pulled it down, to reload it into the proper section of eBay!!! Looks like he has a new computer. They just gave me a Surface Pro 3 at work, I know how he feels!
Listing is showing that the car has already met reserve at about $45k. I hope the seller set the reserve correctly.
When I originally linked to it, he had a $175,000 Buy It Now. He has apparently changed it to a standard no-reserve auction, so if he doesn't change it again, it looks like the car will be selling to the highest bidder.
I believe the Buy It Now disappears when the reserve is met, so I'm wondering if he made an error in setting the reserve price. Hopefully he will read this thread and change it if he made a mistake.
Good day Mitchell, Indeed... you really should fix this promptly and/or cancel the auction, as I seem to remember that Ebay's system prevents you from making any changes to the auction within 24 hours of the auction's end time. In fact I just checked your auction now (2015-08-06 11:40 MST) and it has not yet been fixed. Cheers, Sam
Just checked--it is still a no-reserve auction with bidding at $64k and 4 days to go. Don't think this car will be bid anywhere near $175k. There is still no Buy It Now (BIN) on this auction. Bundas, imo you will lose a lot of money if you wanted to get $175k for the car in this auction. OTOH, if you want to sell it no matter what, then leave the auction as-is, someone will get a great deal on a solid car, you will have a good shot of cash in your pocket.
Yeah, it's still active at $64k, 2:45pm CDT 8/7. No reserve, no buy it now. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you for your concern and assistance. I just verified with ebay. My verified buy now is $175,000.
Good day Mitchell, I just checked and your listing still shows an unreserved auction...Take a look at the screen shot I just took (2015-08-07 at 15:21 MST). There is no Reserve shown nor a Buy It Now. As it stands the car will be one by the highest bidder which could be anything. Whoever you are working with at Ebay is not doing what you want.... which I think is a Reserve Price auction with a Buy It now Price. I would suggest you cancel the auction and relist it with whatever reserve price you want, but also your Buy It Now price. Cheers, Sam Image Unavailable, Please Login
I concur. Mitchel, with respect, you need some expert advice on getting this beautiful car properly listed (and photographed) for sale. The benefit to you to pursue the right help on those fronts would seem to be well worth it. No what eBay is telling you, the listing currently has no active reserve and the car is due to sell at the bid price which is most definitely not 175K. Good luck!
