My 430 spider "for sale"- NOT!!!!

I just got a interesting call from my Ferrari dealer this AM. He asked me if my car is for sale and I was shocked and taken back by this. I told him "Oh my God, no, it is not for sale". It seems that somewhere Ferrari of NA saw my spider with the correct Vin and my name listed for sale. My dealer is trying to find out where this is listed for sale. I forgot to ask him how much they well selling my car for. Sounds likea big scam. The only place my Vin # and name was listed was on this board when I posted pictures and the MSRP for everybody. Wow- be careful out there.

I just got more info-A yellow (my car is red) 2007 spider with my Vin # was listed for sale in the Ferrari Market Letter. The dealer was Silicon Valley Auto Group (Bentley dealer I think). My name was not in the ad. This does show that Ferrari NA is out there looking at all the ads to find the flippers and not sell them anymore cars. I am still in good standing with Ferrari NA and my dealer. I want the replacement spider ASAP.

That's an interesting mistake to make.

 

Just got the answer to what happened. Ferrari NA made a mistake and transposed two numbers and came up with my car. The dealer was not at fault although Ferrari NA now knows that the owner of that car has flipped it.

What I mean is that I need the replacement spider when it comes out. I am on the "list".
