    My Father was an expert.
    I played since I was 5.

    I started teaching my son at 5...Videos , casual games..he caught on Quick.
    I have played my entire life, I am very good not Great.
    He won one about 2 weeks ago...HAH!!!! I said freak game
    Then another and another..about a dozen games now.
    He sets up his pieces in strategy 5 moves in advance of a check..Mate
    I let him learn many challenging excersizes on my lap top...There are some really good learning tools on Apple app sites.
    Now ,He can play 2 games simultaneously on a 3 dimensional cube chess app
    and win...

    What do I have here????

    Your son is oddly talented at chess. That's just crazy!!! Good for him. Now you don't have to tell him in 10 years that you let him beat you :p

    It looks like you boxed yourself in on the picture. I have no room to talk though since I'm not that great.
