I know it's no Ferrari, but this is what has been my daily form of transportation for the past 6 years. I know sport trucks aren't everyones cup of tea, but it's been another one of my hobbies since I was 11.

She will be replaced soon with a 330ci, as soon as I land a job that is.

Let me know what you think.

    Nice truck!!

You're definitely making a great move getting a 330Ci. I have an E46 myself & I love those cars!! Possibly, one of the greatest of the modern BMWs made.

I would keep the truck and get a slightly older 3 series with CPO.
And I would see if I could get tail lights without the yellow in them.

I like it. What drop is that, 2/4? Looks good, any lower would be too low.

I miss my '93. :( I always wanted to bastardize it with a C4 Corvette drivetrain complete with the vette IRS. The Vette IRS has exactly the same axle width, it would have been a fairly simple frame notch job, if I remember right. I still think I'll buy another one and do it someday, when I've got the time and the room to take on a project like that.

Did you shave the tailgate yourself? Looks like it was done properly.

Are you on the FSC board?

I've always liked bimmers, especially once the E46 came out. I've only driven trucks since I turned 16, and during the last few years my passion for German cars has grown. I'm definately looking forward to getting the car, and strangely enough my dad is very enthusiastic about it and points out BMW's everywhere we go.

If I had all the funds I could have I would keep the truck and completely redo it from the ground up. As much as I love my truck it's time to change for a little while and then buy another one and do a more in-depth customization.

It's a 3/4 DJM kit, but I believe the first drop kits for the new style chevy's were slightly lower. Everyone thinks it's a 4/6. I can still tow, although i don't care to.

Yes, there have been countless Covette drivetrain/suspension transfers done and they're amazing. I like riding low and wanted to get air bag setup. Which is something I will do in the future when I have extra money to spend and only after my first Ferrari purchase which I hope will come by the age of 30.

My tailgate was shaved by Ekstensive Metalwerks here in Houston back in 2000. I was very pleased with it. The paintshop I took it to on the other hand was terrible and they re-sprayed 3 times and it's still didn't get it right but I had had enough and decided to deal with the slight imperfections.

I'm not on FSC, but GMFullSize.com (99Silvy on that board).

Bmak, Bob Segar, that's funny. HAHA.

Thanks for the compliments I appreciate it.

It looks great and, seriously, how can you go wrong with a Chevy pickup? My first tow vehicle was an 85 Chevy shortbox, 2WD and a little 305. I put some chunky rubber on it and I got more snow traction than I could ever want. That was fun.

Thanks b-mak. Yea, chevy's been very dependable for me. My '85 S-10 I had before worked, but it was slow and the carberator sucked big time. I don't think my parent will ever own anything other than GM now. They've got two Tahoes, a buick and a big ass cargo van.

Nice truck. I have been out of the sport truck scene for about 6 years but I miss my Sonoma on bags. I want to get another some day but the Ferrari will have to come first.

Thanks. In the past year or so I've slowly drawn myself out of the sport. This was my first year since 2000 to skip Texas Heatwave. I too want to own another truck some day and bag and body-drop and the whole rest of it. The sport, however, has been over run with people who think APC is 'custom'. They have no minds of their own and only do things because "it's cool". They don't personally think it's cool, but think they look cool. These posers if you will just don't get it and it's made me sick.

I wanted 20's looong before they were called Dubs or Twankies and one 20" wheel cost more than a set of wheels and tires do today. I guess that was around '95 or '96 era.

I'm with you about owning a Ferrari before I dive back into the world of custom trucks. We have to have priorities and since I've loved Ferrari's my entire life that's numero uno on the list now that I'll be in the working world....well, as soon as I find a job that is.
