I cant take the thought of a a Massa/Alonso pairing at Ferrari... what a whinger Alonso is.... guess I should license some Ferrari handkerchiefs for Alonso to cry with... I'll make enough to get an F50. Put a pair of Brits in the Ferrari and get the job done.

Take your point about Alonshole but two Brits, we've only got Hammy that could do the job, Button (The Legend) i think has'nt got what it takes anymore if he ever had!

    You have a point there.

I always found Michael Schumacher incredibly arrogant and impossible to cheer for based on his interviews. However anybody who knows him in person swears, that he is a really nice guy.

Equally people on here hate Alonso, but anybody who knows him, says he is the nicest guy in the paddock.

I heard the same as you. During the late 80's and early 90's people spoke about Senna the same way.

From what I read about Senna I'd say he was a bit of a weirdo/loner, but definitely a nice guy. Since he is a "martyr" now, nobody would say anything nasty anyhow, so the perspective is biased.

BTW: Just to be clear: I don't need a driver to be a nice guy to root for him. He can even be a tad arrogant. But he has to be honest. Something Schumacher never was.

This is the new Senna/Prost.These two will be teammates for a while..We're headin to Spa.Kimi's favorite track, and i kno he dont wanna lose there.lets just wait and see..I would really like see Schumi team with either Kimi or Felipe depending on who wins the Championship. The only reason i would want it to be Kimi so the little clowns whos say Schumi cant beat Kimi in equal machinery can shut the **** up.But Massa deserves it as of now.

I really don't see Hamilton ever going to Ferrari. Ron Dennis has his hooks in him and he will never let him go. Hamilton is Ron Dennis's Jessie Owens.

LH will have a contract that no doubt has a date of termination in it. If he wants to go elsewhere at that time (and another team is keen to have him) I can't see Ron being able to prevent it.

Depends when that termination date is.... I never knew that the Devil put a termination date in his contracts.

    Kimi left McLaren
    Alonso left Renault

McLaren turned down Heidfeld after investing a lot of money in him

Kimi Raikkonen has hit back at claims his current performance trough is caused by waning motivation.

At Valencia, the reigning world champion was overtaken in the points standings by team-mate Felipe Massa, as rumours gain momentum that retirement looms around the corner.

The latest reports, in the Spanish newspaper Diario AS, claim that former champion Fernando Alonso is more than ready to step into the Ferrari cockpit next year.

"If somebody has doubts concerning my motivation, let them doubt," Raikkonen said on Wednesday. "One thing I can say is that right now I am more motivated than ever."

He insists his slump, particularly with getting the F2008 to perform over a single lap, has been exaggerated.

"Obviously there has been a lot of talk about my qualifying problems. But in Hungary I just went wide on my last lap of Q3. Without that we would easily have been third.
    "

Amid the open criticism of the Italian media, it is no surprise that Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali strongly backed the team's highest paid driver.

Less predictable has been the backing of his former team, with separate comments of defence coming from McLaren chiefs Martin Whitmarsh, as well as Ron Dennis.

"Kimi is a fierce competitor, a highly talented racing driver and I wouldn't levy any criticism at him at all," Dennis said.

i would never write off Kimster. he might just light up one weekend, and he'll be unstoppable for the rest of the season.

even Ron Dennis is saying the same thing. as for Alonso, i guess he's just 'tired' and accepted the fact that he'll never get a podium this year. and i doubt he'll be at Ferrari either. BMW or Honda seems to be his likely destination.

Response: Santander is the benefactor for Alonso. They signed with Ferrari, not BMW nor Honda. They wouldn't have signed with Ferrari if not for Alonso... They have never had any interest in Ferrari before, ever.. Now they do.. Wonder why?
