Hello to everybody guys! I would like to ask you about your F430's top speed. Alright, first of all: My original configuration is: Grigio Medio / Burgundy, it's a '06 one. This is my first owned Ferrari, but I also am waiting for a new delivery. It more than stock hp (remapping + "homemade" exhaust) and on the 6th gear it looks like very overdriven. I just tried that some weeks ago on a public road (in Germany) and it pulls over 330 kmh. I'm asking you: -What's the top speed on your F430? (stock or modded, whatever it is) -Am I the only one who thinks that seem overdriven? (more than one time I got the rev limiter when it hops, at ~9000 rpm. It seems castrated) -Did anyone replaced the speedometer? Mine is red, but I would like to swap it. It's boring after a while. Can anyone post some pics of its speedometer? With its own configuration, clearly. I really would like to see a white one (If anyone ever have customized it ). Thanks in advance for the help.
If you mean the top speed: I did not stay at that speed for 5 minutes I just tried that a couple of times, for a few seconds , not more. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk.
I am curious about this "homemade" exhaust and ECU tune for 600hp? Can you elaborate? Did this custom exhaust happen to have two turbos attached?
Then explain.. I bought this car in this way, less than 2 months ago! That's his words, I mean: I didnt see anything wrong on the vehicle registration; there's only 110db declared (for the exhaust). No, it's always NA! I can post a video to show you , but It's too much large. PS: I'm on shell fuel Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk.
I dont know how much hp it could encrease. Depends on how much power. The first owner sold me that in this way. I really dont understand. He tried that with race fuel (more than 100 octane) and he told me that it was about slightly more than 600 hp. So guys... Where's the problem? I can't see it. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk.
My biggest problem with top speed runs are how was the top speed measured? If you are using the speedo, you are only guessing at top speed. Most Ferrari's are very optimistic in regard to speed reported by the speedometer. Second, I think some people are going to doubt your claim of 600hp. It is very easy to claim that a car was modified with a custom exhaust and ECU tune and puts out amazing horsepower. The fact is that a Ferrari is a pretty well tuned machine and just adding an exhaust and a re-tune will rarely result in those kinds of gains. Different dynos report different numbers and it is easy to take someones money and show them a dyno result with the numbers they desire. It is much more difficult to build a car that will produce the numbers and maintain driveability and reliability. Good luck with your endeavors and be safe. No sense in killing yourself or someone else trying to prove your Ferrari is as fast as you think it is.
For reference.. After dyno was with a Full Fabspeed performance Package. For those who can't see, the after dyno run posted 446.34 whp compated to 359.99 whp for a stock F430. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dont worry I understood! And I said: I bought my car in this way, tried with race fuel and other features. This is what the first owner told me! I actually am on Shell V power (100 octane gas) but the race fuel is so much more than 100 octane. That's what they told me. Now , the F430 can easily reach 550 hp. I understand their irony and simply dont care! I only did a few questions guys, damn! However, I have some doubt for the dyno result too, but.. Why do everyone behave this way? Its pointless I posted on this because I've wanted to ask some questions. And I told too "this is my first ferrari" I only want some info and reassurances. I appreciate your help. Their irony is useless. I think that the first owner was kidding me or something. What should I do? A new dyno run or what? For everyone: Yeah, my reference is the speedometer Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk.
Yeah but I didnt say Whp! I told hp I dont know how much HP at the wheels it has! Im talking about references power/ top speed. I never knew the Whp Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk.
EDIT *** Oops, I walked out between replying and pressing return and a few others said the same thing. I guess the point that you missed is how did you get to 600HP from a motor that creates 483HP. That is one hell of a increase for only a ECU tune and Exhaust. Andy308: Can I have some butter on my popcorn ?
And running race gas! First owner told me this. What can I do?? Edit: I didnt took any dyno test, these are his words. Stop with that irony please! Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk.
An ECU tune will not give that sort of HP increase. Nor will a different exhaust system. Nor will 'race gas.' The prior owner made up a story and told you what he thought you wanted to hear, and you bought it. The end.
I thought it was something like this... But What's the point? I was going to trust him. So, why am I able to reach 330kmh on the speedometer? I think that's going to be like ~550hp then. Not Whp. I'll have to do a dyno run. I suppose. I never thought that the speedometer was so "generous". Rosso328 and SloW8 are the only ones Who are helping me. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk.
The speedometer is calibrated to display an estimated speed based on how fast the prop shaft is spinning in the gearbox. (Note that I am not an expert, nor do I claim to be one on the specific set up of the 430). Anything that is calibrated by a human is subject to error... And can be calibrated to tell you whatever you want it to. I'm sure with a few turns of a wrench that same speedometer will tell you you are doing 330kph in 2nd gear.
