I found rears last about 60% of what the fronts do, the cars eat tires, mileage can drop to 6 or 7 MPG if you really get on it.
These threads should not be revived... the info in here is no longer relevant...we went through a pandemic... we changed presidents... Prices are no longer what they were... let it die.
i have mine about two years and cost $2000 for fluid changes and $800 for a reverse button in 3000 miles. Dollar a mile for maintenance, cheaper than my surf van.
I like these threads. I track all my expenses for my 430 mainly because I like numbers but also I can see when I need to curtail my spending. I’m right at two years and have spent $13.3K, but that includes most of the Scud Ing Swiss items, new tires, a spare F1 actuator, spare side skirts, a Launch Pro S Mini, plus two annuals where I replaced all the fluids, and anything worn gets replaced. I’ve also got everything I need for my next annual service, spare valve cover gaskets and engine and transmission mounts on hand for when needed. It’s probably more than most have spent but I like having a like new 13 year old Ferrari.
I don't track my expenses for any of my cars... I have too many for where I live in Boston and I am in constant battle with my wife I am not selling any ... I like my cars in top shape and I change my own oils (not just engine) and all suspension parts, etc.. Pretty much any job which does not need a hoist.. Including turbochargers on my 335i. I love seeing them running fine, and the fact that I can pick an choose which car I track any day, knowing that I have fresh brake fluid in all of them, good pads which will sustain track temps, and good tires. I don't give a fly's **** on how much it cost me. It's just motoring pleasure ... If you are constantly thinking of how much a car cost you, or track your expenses, you are not an enthusiast. Buy a Toyota and be done (you will die with it). Just my 2 cents.
You couldn’t be more inaccurate. Interest in cost is different than concerned about cost. My $.02. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I feel basically the same as you, Mario !!! Having paid a ton over the sticker for my 05 F430 with less than 300 miles on it, the last thing I worry about is cost. Sure, I wish I was a little more frugal, but I’ve been through many costly repairs on that car and have a couple of old Chevy’s that have been bottomless pits. But I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s getting time to seriously consider an upgrade to a newer Ferrari Good Luck Living Life To The Fullest !!!!!
Good luck to you too! I wish I was at the stage of upgrading, I have only driven mine about 200 miles since I bought it in August ...
YIKES, I thought my driving time was low !!! I’ve had the 430 for 16 years and drive it 1000 miles a year. A new one might get me to drive it more. LOL
Oh no, that is not normal behavior for me.... I got shafted by the contractors I hired to build my garage (they didn't finish) , and she's stored somewhere 25 min away from home... Hard to find time during the day to take her out, direction is kinda south-west, middle of nowhere
Damn contractors. Over the years, I’ve been screwed by a couple with my house. Hopefully your driving time will increase by springtime !!! In the meantime, Happy Thanksgiving
