Not really.I have been sick and working from home, but i did check on wed and couldnt find any cameras around. I will try to file the report this week end and see what i'll do. The car is due to have the bumper fixed next week (since last november rear ending incident.) and ill see what they say about the scratch. i might just touch it up and fix it over the winter as i dont want to be without a car again now that the sun is out (Last summer the car was in for the engine replacement..). I was thinking of what you said in another thread about the rear glass shattering by itself..i am noticing a loud cracking noise everytime i drive off any driveway (walgreen, etc..) and was wondering if the body isnt slowly pressing the rear glass..
I dont want to say anything about suspects as it is really in my head but a week ago i told this valet to not park his cars in our office parking spot as we rent them monthly and 24/7.They used to park their customers cars there, and more than a few times we had to park in the street because we couldnt find them to move the cars so this one time i got tired of it and walked over to the restaurant and told him to come and move the car away... It's really not enough to mention to the officer. I have never filed a report here, what else beside my ID do i need to bring with me? Thanks for the help!
Sorry for your troubles. Years ago some nitwit keyed pretty much the entire driver's side of my Lotus Esprit. If I had only had security cameras... Wouldn't it be sweet justice to catch the f'er in the act? CW
Nothing is to minor to mention. If it's in the original report that you had mentioned this, it will look better should security footage back that up. Every investigation needs a starting point and your suspicions would be this one's. Without any suspect info, it will be put in a folder and forgotten. You won't need anything to file the report. You can call from where the damage happened and the officer will be dispatched to you. The other option is to go to the police department IN THE TOWN WHERE THE DAMAGE HAPPENED. I highlight that because you have to file there. If you live in Naperville and the damage happened in Oswego, you will waste a trip to the Naperville PD since they will refer you to Oswego PD.
I hate it when I see stuff like this. Why someone would damage someone elses nice car just doesn't make any sense, the only explanation is that they're just a**holes. Sorry it happened, hope its not too much of a pain to fix it.
My dunebuggy was keyed right after I moved into my new town, while I was grocery shopping, big "Z" right across the front. Just once I want to read about someone catching one of these assmunches and getting some justice...
I had a mint 70' Corvette back in the mid-70's, that I cherished for 23 years and had fully restored, that was keyed twice. Once at a party at a friends house and the second time at a "Home Depot" type store(for 5 minutes). I fixed it myself both times (I used to paint cars), then sold it. Sad when you can't enjoy a nice car, without some jerk being jealous and vandalizing it. I think this would be appropriate punishment, see below- ""FORT MYERS BEACH -- A naked man was shocked in the genitals by a Taser after he was found breaking windows, police said"
