It's a matter of preference but try adjusting it so that you just barely see the fender.

And congratulations on getting the car!

The steering wheel is all the way up!!!. I can't see the top of the speedo or tach, I need to lower this seat, I guess it can be done. I don't need adjustability, I'm 6' and my wife is 5'11" (she wants to dirve it), I'll never stow the top back there, so the seat will stay all the way back. Can I bolt the seat directly down on the floor?
I got the fuel door open, the key has to be on.
On the mirror, I guess like they said on Cannonball Run, "what's behind me, doesn't matter".

LOL!!!! Waxed it at 1am !!! I still stare at mine in the garage at 1am !!! LOL!

Air Force Lt. Col. awsome!! I was talking to CW4 Michael Durant 106th Special Ops NSDQ. (Blackhawk pilot who was shot down in Somalia and taken hostage in 93' www.mikedurant.com) a short while back here in Chicago and he said something that is so true: "You can take a person out of the military but you can never take the military out of a person!" then made the same statement you did regarding how now he gets paid as opposed to before LOL!! Maybe one day I'll get paid too!! LOL!

Welcome to the Brotherhood! Congratulations. The paint on that car really looks immaculate.

As far as opening the fuel door is concerned: yes, the car has an electronically actuated release, which you have figured out how to use. However, I will guarantee you that that release will stop working sooner or later and will need a slight adjustment. So what do you do when you hit the fuel door opener button and nothing happens? Easy: use the emergency mechanical release located in the engine compartment. So open the engine compartment; then, when standing at the back of the car, on your left-hand side there should be a black release cable -- pull on it and it will pop open the fuel door.

I was thinking the same. The black cavallino reminds me of the one outside the Ristorante Ferrari by the factory.

    It's very cool and anti-bling.

Lol. Normal people don't wax cars at 1AM. They just set up lawn chairs in the garage and stare at their car all night.

Well, maybe normal people don't. I don't know. Any normal people registered here?

Your cars look beautiful. I'm a big fan of your phone in the garage. Now all you need is a big screen tv and you'd never have to leave the garage!!!!

Congrats on the car BeeJay! Key needs to be in the ignition in either the batt/acc position or car running to activate the fuel door release from the center console button. You also might want to wait before bolting the seats to the floor - I thought I would have to do the same on mine, but I got used to it after finding my "driving position" and I'm glad I didn't.

But I can't see the top of the speedo or tach, and looking down the road, the header is in the way. I need to get down.
Also, the hood (engine cover) won't stay up. The shocks are shot. I wonder if a simple pole would suffice. Hopefully, I won't need to be under the hood much.

    Congrats BJ,

You got a fantastic car. It is concours worthy. If that's your scene then resist the urge to modify it with 355 wheels, chrome cavallions, painting the roof and bottom rocker. If you are like me, i.e., dont give a crap for concours then mod the car away to your liking. You got a fantastic starting point. Enjoy driving her!
