Some random observations For the record: Rossa Scud, Factory stripe, Standard red/black alacantera, yellow calipers owned one year, driven 1000 miles roars to life when started cold. lurches like a raw race car when trying to inch along slides around with cold tires feel every bump, hear every pebble. shifts a little clunky a low speeds and/or cold SOUND IS INTOXICATING shifts spectacular at speed, especially down shifts. loose steering does not inspire confidence. visceral thrill driving less than go directly to jail speeds. SHOW STOPPING BEAUTY. Perfect portions. Perfect height, lines, wheels. No outrageous aero, intakes, curves or angles Strip is a must! Always attracts attention, even if scarlett jo. was driving an Enzo in her birthday suit! 12 yr old daughter prefers C2s with top down and radio blaring. Summary: There are cars that are faster, more luxurious, more raw, louder, tighter handling, stop quicker, have much improved technology. Something about a CS stirs the soul. I believe an accidental masterpiece for the automotive ages. It revolves around the sound, seat sensation, shifts at speed, and shape. Maybe that wears off over time, but I suspect EVERYONE who has spent some time with this car has felt a child like thrill at some moment during the experience. Here is to thousands of more miles to come!
All I can say is I feel everything you say is true - and I get to experience it daily - and that makes me (and you) very very lucky - and I don't ever really want to stop
Thanks for the comments. I'd love to hear other CS owners chime in and say what they like/dislike about thier CS. Any regrets not going with a F430 instead?
These are the reasons I am still inclined to buy a CS over a 430. I almost bought one last winter, and ended up with an 05 575M F1 to replace the last one I regretted selling. Believe it or not, but there is not one CS in Calgary that I know of. I will start looking for one again this coming winter. Enjoy every mile that you drive your car!
zero, F430 is, uh boring in comparison imho. Scud is needed to be driven in triple digits for similar sensation and is an amazing machine. Its like it's wired to your brain. You think it, and it does it with ease. Driving the CS fast takes your full attention which makes it more interesting to me. Don't get me wrong, each F car is clearly an evolutionary advancement
I totally relate to your driving experience. However, I might be in the minority of CS owners because I actually get as much enjoyment from the car just walking into the garage and fully appreciating every curve, angle, line, and view I have of the car? I appreciate it like fine art. I think it is the best looking Ferrari ever produced. Don't get me wrong, I love my weekend rides through the tunnels of Kannan Dune on my way to Malibu. It's my reward for the week.
I went for a drive in my CS the other night. My friend came along in his 430. We had a blast. At no point was he pulling away from me. Just the opposite in fact. My CS is about to hit 13K. I love this car. The only Ferrari I want more is an F40 or Enzo. My stripe gets applied on Wednesday. I'll post pics.
I've said it before...... The CS is a very special car that truly embodies the complete visceral experience of what an exotic car in general, and a Ferrari specifically, should be. Just how special I feel this car is.... A few years ago when I would go to the garage there was a Testarossa, a Mondial t cab, a 348 and an F40. While all of those cars are great in their own way, only the F40 left that indelible experience....... every time. As a result, when I entered that garage, more often than not, the F40 was chosen as the ride of the day. Fast forward to today. The CS creates those same feelings, and more often than not.... is given the nod. So far, just like the F40, it has never failed to put a smile on my face...... even not having a stripey, and not being red!
You are killing me with the CS passion! Where is Stockpro...I need help finding a CS, miles agnostic.
To fun man! I have lived in your agony. This is a PM I sent Stockpro almost exactly one year ago "....Please help, I am sick! I can't sleep at night. I'm put off work writing damn emails and on the phone. I get on the computer before bed and am now on when I wake. I constantly am refreshing my email and fchat PMs on my I-phone all day, during dinner and show with friends last night. It won't stop until a beautiful CS is in my garage. To look at, smell, sit in, clean and care for, to listen to.....I just had to stop and screen away b/c my wife walked in, that is crazy. I guess I didn't want her to know I've found another. I know you understand me. Please help!!!...."

Great write up Funny thing this morning Stokpro picked me up in his CS and I believe I experienced everyone of these things in the first 15 miles What a car.
Sorry I hate him now. I lost a dollar bowling against him? I'm never giving 40 pins again. bastard he is!
40 pins saved me azz. I got my dollar back after losing all the other games where you bowled over 200 with your non-dominant hand? VC needs all the money possible. Hey, bowl angry, StoryBook does! LOL
