It cound happen... :D
Yes, it is my car and it is a replica. It's the same one in my avitar and profile. I want a roots blower on it though! LOL!
a quality tube chasis kit- countach can be a fun car. i like it Frog, the car would do wheelstands with a rat motor and a blower!!!
Paul D. -- yours is one of the best built CT replicas I've seen over the years -- very accurate in dimension, proportion, design, and interior layout -- not to mention the tube chassis, which is the way to go IMHO. Is your by any chance one of the Armstrong or Prova versions? I recall that during the late 80's and early 90's there were only a handful of companies that offered their replicas with tube chassis -- and many were turnkey only.
pssssst......shhhhh.......... Just an fyi. It's not a tube chassis, it's Fiero based. ugh but with the suspension and wide body design, it drives on rails. The manufacturer is Euro-Works Ltd. (http://www.euroworksltd.com/) I paid $30,000. for the car 3 years ago from a previous owner. More pics here: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4292457619 Thanks for the compliments guys. In all reality, if I could actually install a blown motor like this, I would just to be friggin outragious. I have enjoyed the "origional" type look for about 3 years now and would love to freak people out with this concept! My finances won't allow it though.
Nothing wrong at all with the Fiero donor chassis versions (I owned an '85 Fiero for 10 years ) -- especially if it is the stretched / modified chassis. I'm familiar with the Euro-Works replicas...they offer both the stock and stretched versions, correct? Actually, I thought about doing one of these with my old Fiero, and inquired with several manufacturers back then (thanks to Kit Car Illustrated's Manufacturers Guide !). Even considered Archie's V8 kit too Still have a bunch of literature packed away somewhere. After realizing how much time, material, resources, money, etc. went into building one of these correctly, I decided to abandon the idea -- and sold the Fiero to a co-worker's son. Funny thing is, my old car was recently (last month) for sale on eBay! The poor gent didn't know what he was selling, and was advertising it as an authentic Pace Car, which it was not. I called the fellow, and discussed my interest in buying it back...and informed him about the Pace Car misinformation. He said he had already received quite a few e-mails from others informing him of this as well I decided to think it over the weekend, went to the spring Daytona car show, looked at a couple of late model GT's that were for sale (part of the Fiero club show), and finally decided to pass. Think I'll wait and get a pristine '88 GT one day just for nostalgia's sake. BTW, here's a pic of my old "Pace Car" replica Fiero: Image Unavailable, Please Login
WOW! Nice car! I have actually been impressed with the little 2.8L V6. I guess the light weight body makes up for the lack of HP. With a few mods I have really been able to tell a difference over the stock stuff. I have video fotage of smoke literally pileing off both rear tires from a standstill. Impressive since they are 345's. But top end sux... lol, the pure fun makes up where it lacks. After being in the replica/kit world for a few years, I'm glad I nevr tried to build one. Let the pro's build them, I'll enjoy them. Now, I am building a drag Mustang from top to bottom, but thats a different story. Nice Fcars by the way Eric! The Testarossa was always my "other" favorite along with the C/T as a kid growing up! Like they were a pair of troublemnakers in the 80's. lol.
