I'm new in the forum sorry if you don't understand =) Hello, I'm 17 year old lad the one that is charmed with the cars and more in I make concrete the ferraris. My dream since since I was born is to obtain a good Ferrarii. I am in a moment of my crucial life since I have already the opportunity to choose between starting working or continuing studying. My idea is to continue studying, i would like to be an engineer or to study economy to be employed at the stock exchange or something similar and later on I would be charmed to mount a company and to see her to grow. I come from an average family, in my family I do not have anybody with any Ferrari, i would like have to any relative with anyone! Good and you will wonder why I write here and the response is obvious that many of that are registered by you you here have a ferrari and it would delight me that they were helping me and were motivating me simultaneously a bit and were giving to me your opinions about what is better to study how to begin and if you want to put your records since I would be charmed with it. Good from Malaga wine a greeting! Excuse me my speak English i'm spanish and I am learning english yet. Thank you from Málaga!
Welcome There is no right answer to your question. It is different for everyone. I know more people with Ferraris that did NOT go to college than I do ones that did go to college. But that doesnt mean YOU shouldnt continue your studies. It really all depends on your situation. Some people are born with an entrepreneurial personality and they usually do not need higher education to be successful. However for most people, higher education is probably best for them. It also depends on if you are talking about a new Ferrari or an older model. I personally will probably never be able to afford a brand new Ferrari but luckily I dont desire one (and truthfully I dont desire to work hard enough to get one). I like the 80s and 90s cars and those are within reach of most upper middle class folk who are good with their finances. So its not a dream that is very far out of reach. But you probably shouldnt listen to me since Im a crazy artist that didnt graduate high school
Hi there! It all depends on what you want to do with your life. Don't get a job just because it will allow you to afford a Ferrari; get a job that you will be happy with for the rest of your life. I'm almost 17, so I know where you are coming from here. If I were you, I would go to college simply because it opens more doors for your future. College allows you to get into better, higher paying jobs. It all depends on what you want to do. Good luck and I hope your dream is realized. -G.B.
Leon, You are lucky to live in such a beautiful place and obviously clever enough to start thinking about your goals in life. I also come from a very modest family and I realized about your age that if I was going to acheive my goal of financial independence, I needed to get a good education, stay focused on what I wanted, and, most importantly work hard. Unless you have a unique talent, such as Jerry who is an artist, your best avenue to success in life is the best education you can get. Once you have it, no one can take that away from you, and as a bonus, you will be able to converse intelligently with other successful people who are well educated. Then you have to work hard and have a bit of luck in life. My advice to you is get the education, and wait until you have some financial security (like a year's expenses in the bank), before you purchase your first "big boy" toy. Study hard, Vince
The whole world right now is learning a lesson about borrowing money to buy luxury goods that it couldn't afford -- and about the true value of those goods when they are bought on credit rather than cash. I'd say you're smarter at 17 than most people are at 40. Finish your education -- engineering is a great path -- and then achieve some success at something you enjoy doing and for which you have talent. (Also, in terms of English, you might want to say "found a company" instead of "mount a company"... )
Thank you very much for your commentaries. You can continue writing your opinions if you want! A greeting.
I just sent you a PM. It will show up in the upper right corner of you screen below the "Welcome, your name" Best of luck and stay in school for now! MB
I offer this and this is what I told my two sons several times.... Find something that you love to do (many people work at jobs they hate). Do it well and and you will enjoy satisfaction and may rewards. I do mechanical design engineering and love it!!! Best of luck and success on your path of life.
First of all, never stop dreaming. Continuing your studies is a wise move. I have college degrees in both engineering and economics, so feel free to ask questions if you'd like. I do not own a Ferrari yet, but could if I desired to at this point. As they say, it is not usually about the destination, but about the journey (I hope that makes sense in translation). Keep chasing whatever motivates you and you will wake up some day realizing that you are where you wanted to be. And finally, welcome to this site, it's a great learning resource!
If your passion is to own a Ferrari regardless of how much money you make in life, you might want to start looking at cheap Italian cars. You could probably find a relatively inexpensive Fiat 124 or Alfa to get you started on your path. I guess it depends on why you want to own a Ferrari. If you want one for the sake of driving passion, these cars are almost as much fun to drive as our Mondial and for 10% of the cost. Plus you likely won't mind driving one of these with cosmetic problems where with with a Ferrari you will want it to be perfect. If you take this path, learn to do your own maintenance, it will save you money and come in handy if you purchase a classic Ferrari in the Future. With an average car you will be an outsider, with a classic Italian sports car you will be surprised how many people will come out to help you. Join a club and enjoy the ride. Good luck, dave
Thank you very much. Proud to know people as you who can help. And been charmed with of know people who possesses my dream. I wait to continue speaking with you soon. A greeting.
