    After 9 years of wondering who would do something like this to such a wonderful woman is finally getting some answers. Verna Dennis was a true saint, she helped me when during my volatile teen years when I was dating her daughter, Becky & remained a good friend to me & my family until her untimely death. I tried to remain in contact with her until my college years when everyone just lost touch. It wasn’t until the mid 90’s I would see her training at my local gym, she always had a way to make me smile.

    That's Horrible! I just dont see how things like this happen to good people! Best wishes to your friend and her family. I imagine it would be great to finally have closure, but at the same time probably brings back some very lucent memories. Prayers sent for her!

    very very sad. The absolute depth of human trash. It breaks my heart to think that the family has to relive it all in gory detail during the trial. Hopefully Texas will keep up it's tough justice stance and give this guy what he deserves.

    That is truely a sad story, and I'm glad to see they caught the SOB. I hope he gets what he deserves.

    I sympathize.

    I lost my aunt, grandmother and granfather all at once when my uncle snapped over a divorce and shot them all to death (and his new GF ran and hid while he did it, the tramp). He;'s on death row now and never getting out but it really does hit home that this can happen to anyone at any itme (this was MArch 5, 1993, a day which will haunt my memories forever. Seeing 3 caskets at once really does something to your psyche.

    Texas is all about capital murder. Since he murdered her in the commission of another felony (stealing/theft) it's a capital crime. Have fun on Texas death row.
