My F1 Pool Update...Bas, take a look.

Bas--it sounds like you've been having email issues? I saw your post in the EuroGP thread, so this is specifically for you. I attached images of the scoring sheets below, and in your case it's definitely a bad news/good news scenario as you can see by the comments below...

So as we approach the midway point, we're all tied up! I did a little calculating:

So far, the only driver used by everyone and no longer available is Vettel. Despite two 1sts, a 2nd, a 3rd and two 4ths, only two of us scored points with him--Jack (25) and Steve (12).

After 9 races, 5 winners went unchosen:
Bahrain-Alonso
Australia-Button
Monaco-Webber
Turkey-Hamilton
Valencia-Vettel
Notice there were no repeats in the list, which means 125 points fell by the wayside.

I also calculated how many points have been scored up to this point by the drivers each of has remaining. In parenthesis are the top drivers some of us still have remaining. Apparently Bas has been unable to get into his Yahoo account, and as a result his picks have been auto-selected. You'll notice he has a lot of top picks remaining! In order:
Bas.........476 (Hamilton, Button, Kubica, Rosberg)
Andreas...228 (Alonso, Rosberg)
Steve......188 (Button)
Jack........185 (Rosberg, Massa)
Dennis.....177 (Webber)
Frank.......169
Bob.........101

This is where it gets tight, and while there are a handful of race-winning hopefuls, the bulk of points from here on forward will have to come from non-podium finishes. But as the last list shows, there are lots of opportunities to keep scoring. Steve had the pick of the race last week, getting a 4th with Barrichello!

Thanks Jack for the update, it is more interesting than I thought it would be, keeping it simple and its effective, however it is getting tougher now..

Thanks--I'm glad you like it. I remember a couple years where Schumacher won damn near every time out, but if you didn't pick it right you were basically screwed because of the old points. We used to get about 20 guys going at $50 a man, so winning paid off nicely!
