No more Hp for the SL55..just has 550 w/550 torque. I took it to Monterey for the historics and the beast topped 200 out in the desert!

    Let's talk soon...

The guy I spoke with last night (Justin Thompson) said that's what a lot of people try to do and it just doesn't work right. He used to be the technical services manager at FNA. I'll have to ask him to elaborate on his comment. SD

They have to wave the magic wand cut from an olive tree near Maranello and sprinkle ashes from Enzo's pet over the Delco unit to make it work. That's expensive stuff!

Congrats on your F40! a great car.
I am in Orlando and I don't think there is anything for you to worry about, Frances wont be to bad I believe. Also I will donate to Salvation Army as soon as possible, yesterday was a big day helping out some friends vacation home that are out of the country, I called them and told them about it and I surprised the hell out of them, it always feels good to help people. Good luck and be save.

Wow, I am so jalous of you. That is so impressive. Where do you live? It looks like it's in a Desert of something? Also when you have Buggy's dirt bikes and so on, I can only imagine you live a good mile or 2 away from the city :)

live smack dab in teh middle of Scottsdale, AZ. just trailer race cars, trucks, buggy's, bikes, etc. out to ride. trailer harleys to my house in Flagstaff in the summer to ride them there. also have dirt bikes, quads, and buggy in flagstaff as well. in the winter I spend most of my time in the Imperial sand dunes, (Glamis)AZ/CA border.
here is one of my buggy's for the sand, 550HP and only 1600 lbs.

William & Alex, congratulations on twin F40s! Best wishes with Francis, she can be a ***** :)

An F40 is driveable on the street (er, sorta) with straight pipes. It sounds like an F1 car being fed through a wood chipper at about 250mph (which oddly sounds surprisingly good...) The turbos muffle some of the exhaust, so the sound is not as defaning as a n/a race car.

Exhaust is easy to put back to stock, just bolt it back in. I too dig origional configuration, but these are cars (that had the exhaust bolted on before at least once or thrice!), not oil paintings.

Any of these fine examples 92s with the ajustable suspension?

I agree ARTHEARD. modify the thing! it just darn car. I have tubi LM pipes with Tubi test pipes (cat replacement) in other words straight through exhaust. it is VERY loud and sounds amazing. in my opinion the only way to go. you can always put a muffler back on. I also have a different chip set installed and am thinking about LM turbo's. the F40 begs to be tuned. my belief is, if your going just look at it and drive it like an old lady, sell it to someone that will enjoy it.
