Race (of course), Manual (of course)... with the rear window down!

No turbulance, no wind noise, but the air flow of an open window and all the engine noise. This may be the best innovation of the Spider!

Sounds like fun and I bet it SOUNDS fun. What a car!

I just have 230 miles on F458 since getting it and have yet to put it in Race mode. Just enjoying and actually trying to stay under 6000 rpm until 600 miles. 50/50 if I will make it.

That's my favorite thing as well. I was actually a little disappointed when I couldn't really hear the pops and crackles of the exhaust on lift off as I did in my coupe. Put the back window down and holey shi$ I can't believe such a simple thing as being able to put the back window down could be so much fun and let in so many wonderful noises. It is awesome and I think its the best innovation on the Spider that I've noticed in my first 300 miles.

The ability to open the rear window is what makes the 458 spider so amazing.

Anyone knows if the MP4-12C's spider rear window can be open? I am so uninterested in that car to bother to look it up.

    Then why even ask?

Having both cars, after I got the spider I started wondering whether I should keep the 12c. Then as I drove them back to back regularly, I got to appreciating the 12c again and am going to keep both! The spider is beautiful and is definitely the car for attention and it does drive well (albeit I think it is a little soft). The 12c is very much a drivers' car in other ways.

Kind of like the difference between a Maxim cover girl and say... Natalie Portman! :)

Even Tiff Nidel is liking it (see the ecoty 2012 videos).

Because I like to know if I can get the answer effortlessly.

    Your 12C is a spider?

Well why ask if you are so uninterested?

I have the coupe, I don't think the 12c spider is available until the new year. I did sit in it and I do believe it has a roll down rear window too.

What an amazing option of rolling down the rear window to have direct access to the sound of the engine! :)
