These comments explain why the Intrepid replacement is a 4 door, but don't address why the new Charger isn't a 2 door. Maybe we're just debating symantics at this point, but I will stick with my sources: AutoWeek 1/24/05
What, the Stratus??? Of course they're dead in the marketplace...there's nothing fun about those cars! People wanted something beefier than a front-drive V6 with 200hp.
We didnt set out to revive an old model!!! Then why the hell did they call it that. They are really hypocrites, they advertise their cars with HEMI and they make R/T Daytona limited editions, and they say that. Why didnt they call the car something else... or just market it as the non-wagon version of the magnum... George.
We have a pretty cool car in the dealership today. It's an original '66 Hemi Charger finished in some sort of light violet color. According to the magazine inside of the car (in which this actual car is featured) it's one of only two like it. Sounds awesome too! Image Unavailable, Please Login
