My Ferrari Birthday

    Some of you may remember last year when I posted about my first experience driving an F430. My girlfriend did that as a huge surprise and it was awesome. Of course after that it's hard for her to top herself, but this year she went a "custom" route and thought up a whole bunch of Ferrari related things to give me. She came on here a few months ago asking advice about Ferrari emblems and cavallinos (so thanks to all of you who helped her out with that) and the final product turned out to be a custom carbon fiber box with the emblem on it. She told me the part is genuine, and specifically off the Enzo air intake, and it looks great. She also "made" me a shirt with Enzo's signature on it. It's not a licensed Ferrari product but I like it because I've never seen shirts like this for sale. I'm just getting my two businesses up and going, so she got me a custom carbon fiber business card holder with the Ferrari horse engraved on the corner with my name on the inside. There were a couple other small carbon fiber and Ferrari related things, but let's just say I'm one lucky guy. Oh, and she baked me a Ferrari cake too.

    I' remember all of your g-friends posts about gift recommendations a few months back. cool stuff man. Your g is awesome, your a lucky man. Keep working hard and stay focused and you'll someday get your goal of having an F-car. I promised myself I'd get one back in 1983, when I visited the factory in Modena and Maranello while I was on vacation as a kid with my parents. My wife was always supportive of my dream, and helped push me to complete my dream last Christmas. The license plate on my F355 GTB is "DREAM 83". So keep working hard, it will happen.

    Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! It's not until the 9th, but my girlfriend and I celebrated early because we live 5 hours apart and only get to spend weekends together.

    Thanks for the inspirational words. I am working my butt off to try and be able to afford one some day. Plus having a girlfriend who understands that I love Ferrari's for reasons that most wouldn't understand (history, racing heritage, passion, driving experience, etc.) helps too.

    Sorry, haha she only has a brother. If I had the money to go out and buy her a ring I'd ask her very soon, but I want to wait to give her something special. And the Enzo gift bag came from her local Acme grocery store...believe it or not. I was surprised to see that too.
