Registered and was approved for this site thinking that I could see any service records, campaigns done, etc. that were part of the Ferrari Dealer network. All I see is a general build sheet (my window sticker is a lot more comprehensive) on the car, no other information. Do I need to request this information from them, try and find dealers that serviced the car, or what? I have the records that were important to me such as belt service, water pump replacement, fluids, etc. but want to look a little deeper.

Gary- FNA does not maintain a central repository of individual car maintenence records. You would need to go to the individual dealers for that, assuming you can figure out who they were. Many Ferraris are serviced by independents once out of warranty, so no way FNA would have access to those records, even if they were interested.

You were lucky to find your build sheet there.

Thanks Taz, i'll dig around and see if I can find anything on the owners before the PO's service at a dealer. I knew the Indy records would be a lost cause but hoped Ferrari did have a central database.

Taz, Ferrari does now maintain a central database for car maintenance records (at least for Europe - every service I have results in a follow up call from Ferrari in Italy checking I am happy). I have registered my car as an owner on Ferrari.com and have now got access to a complete record of my cars service history and campaigns carried out - records go back to 2009 when my car was built. Most of the work has been done during my ownership, but I purchased early 2011 and can still see the original 2009 delivery mileage, PDI date and services done prior to my purchase and since my purchase by date/mileage/dealer. The history also includes warranty visits and not just routine services.

Russell- That is something new after they went to MODIS, which does keep track of maintenance. Thanks for correcting me on that. Some of the later Ferraris also have some maintenance records in the chip in the instrument panel.

    Gary,

Where do you go in the site to see even that? After I log in and am in My Ferrari I click on cars and nothing ever loads and none of the other tabs seem relevant. I started trying this after seeing Russell post the other day. Thanks.

Once you have created your owner account and added your car (I think there is some sort of owner verification process via your dealer) you should see this view with your car shown. If you click on the image of your car the tab appears across the bottom, click car details and then another window loads which allows you to choose dealer visits, car specification etc etc.

How long have you been registered as an owner on Ferrari.com with your car. There is a verification process which I think involves the dealer so I guess there might be a delay. I didn't have the service visits visible originally and only noticed they had appeared on a subsequent visit (afraid I don't have a clue how much time elapsed) - I wasn't expecting to see the service history so wasn't checking regularly.

    Update:
I've just looked at my previous 430 coupe that I had registered in the same way, I can't see the service history on this car any longer as it is shown as sold (date supplied by my dealer to Ferrari I think since I don't remember doing it). I assume for the same reason they are hiding a sold cars history they won't show any details on your car until they have verified ownership via your dealer

Could be, i'll keep watching it. They (the site) did ask me to send in a current registration certificate before they would even verify my registration so they are pretty careful with it..

I have all my cars on my profile and some use to show the last service mileage and date but once they've updated to the new style of website, it no longer shows all that info. Might be a bug or the features are no longer there for certain markets??

Received a response from Ferrari that I need to contact the sales/servicing dealer to obtain any records, which I have done. Hopefully they will take the time to give me what i'm looking for. May have to get a carfax to get a little more info in case the car came from a different area..

Edit: I'm in luck, Carfax reports all the services since new were performed at FoLI, who sold the car new in 03... Now if they only cooperate!

LOL. Know the feeling, I've got 20 inch wheels according to the site - If only I'd known they were an option on a 16M!

I emailed Sefatia at [email protected] and she is going to get the information corrected but still no service information. Aldous (Voicey) did a review on his blog and got his service information from 2009.

I've been a member on that site for quite some time, but I never saw a way to enter my car in there.

That's not what Voicey said in his blog. So are you saying that the dealers who serviced the car since 2008 have to re-enter that into Modis?
    Alan

    From Voicey's blog
Depending on whether your car has been recently inside the official network for a warranty or servicing, you may be able to see such details. The services are only visible from mid 2008 when there was an upgrade to the Ferrari computer network (MODIS)

    Alan - this is from Ferrari when I asked if there was a way to see my records on My Ferrari.com, and my car has been at FoLI many times since 2008;

    "Dear Gary,

    thank you for contacting us.

Regarding this kind of information, you may refer to your trusted Ferrari dealer.

We would like to remind you that on the official Ferrari website Ferrari country selector you can find the complete list of Ferrari official dealers. Once you get to the home page, please click on " Find a dealer " and then select your country area.

Should you need any further information and assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best regards,
    Sefatia

That is strange. Maybe Europe is different. This is from Voicey's blog page -- of course no information on what work was done (unless there is a link to click). Also don't you get a kick out of Sefatia's quaint English.
