The collection is indeed very special in the service garage there. I am planning to head down again when I go home!
Yes it's a 250 GT Drogo. I think the s/n is 3611. The 64 GTO is s/n 3499GT and belongs to Anthony Bamford. The blue 250 GTo is s/n 4219GT (owner is Brandon Wang) and the red oe must be s/n 3527GT (owner is Stve Pilkington as far as I know) Martin
Boudewijn, I thought the Drogo re-body was s/n 3611 GT, as the body was removed from 2735 and put on a modified 2 + 2 chassis.
As per conversation above Al, its the Drogo-rebodied SWB, with the body now sitting on a 2+2 chassis. Was owned by Chris Kerrison, who then sold the body to John Starkey who put the body on a modified 2+2 chassis. Was then sold to D. Ghose who badly crashed it in '98 and sold it as part exchange to Greg Miller. D.Ghose now has a very nice yellow TR which apparently is classed as a prototype, and Greg Miller now has the Drogo, painted in red by all accounts.
Here you'll find an article on the SWB: http://www.johnstarkeycars.com/pages/articles/articles_21.html
I wanted to put titles by the photos, but couldnt figure how to put text inbetween pics, i suppose i could list before the pics.
Here you go then. another fix Would be interested to know what the maserati is on track. I've searched for the model, but the only ones that match have smaller openings on the front grille. This one seems to have a very large opening. Awesome pics, love the Espada - saw one the other day and they are drop dead gorgeous. Nice pic (6th from the bottom) - a good variety there as always! Are you local to that garage?
I need to catch up on my Lamborghini history. I've never heard of a Lambo Silhouette. How many were made? What kind of engine does it have? It certainly looks cool. Do you have any pictures of the rear or side of it? Sorry about all the questions but I've never heard of or seen this car before.
There you go Daniel, some high-ish size pics of the Silhouette to feed your request. http://www.infocoches.com/fotos/lamborghini/1976-Silhouette/ As ever, Boudewijn is correct,(except i thought it was only 52 made. I think, and only from memory, there were only 9 RHD's. It was never sold in the US as a production model because it couldnt meet the requirements, and at the time, financial problems kept people away. Shame really because they were beautiful cars. I have only ever seen 2 Silhouettes. One of them was a RHD
