Check to see if the driver's side cable (18) is attached to the trunk release lever.
Why can't they remove the pull handle for the trunk release (the regular, non-emergency one), get behind it, and pull the left side cable individually? It could be that there's a little more slack on the left cable than the right, so when you pull the handle, only the right side cable pops the hood.
One side opens - left, driver, so it should be connected if driver side releases and opens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I read one side, right side…. But that was my misunderstanding. Sorry, reverse everything I typed, LOL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just let me know if you need close up photos of mechanism, you might get your hand inside if the other side is open.
Take it to Autocura, Ferrari/Lambo specialist, close to the border if you're in Oslo, might be closed due to vacation.
They had the 355 Challenge and 355 Spider they check mechanism Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Car is all fixed now, just want to clear up Stradale Vintage Cars had nothing to do with this. When car was sent paint shop this parts they never touch. I have also got a lot help from them to diagnose etc
Well, it looks like your trunk lid was an easy fix. Now, as far your suspension light it's time for you to use some deductive reasoning and diagnose the problem properly. You said that you drove home and the next day you got the suspension light. Did you start and shut off the engine several times without driving forward? That can trigger the suspension light to come on. Drive your car several miles and it should extinguish. Parking the car on an uneven grade has also been known to trigger the light. Once the simple causes are eliminated, then you can turn your attention to the actuators. Are they properly seated? Did you lose a circlip? Make sure they're all secure. Finally, you can consider a bad actuator and address that issue.
Would the shop happen to know if the gold Speedlines on that challenge car is original Speedline gold?
Hi Ken, I think the gold Speedline on that car is repainted. I was considering to buy that car before I ended up with my car
When my car was ready for pick up one day before pickup the shop in Netherlands checked and saw one of actuator needed change (left side). So their solution was to take used actuator from one of their working 355s. Drive home to Norway around 800 KM no suspension light came on, one day after when I got the car right at start up the suspension light came on. Today I did not have time to get this shop in Norway to check this light, had to rush home to my dog and work Yeah I have been starting engine and not much driving I think. Today after the hood was fixed drive home the suspension light did not get on. I will try make some time this week or next week go to Ferrari dealer to connect to computer to check what the issue is.
Reza, i found Your trunk was connected to the light dashboard, I’ m sure, you know I’m a professional. lol
Yeah hehehe or the car wants me to drive it more + longer drive I will for sure get it checked, maybe better to buy OBED 2 diagnostics tool that work with app?
Right. That will do it. Just drive and enjoy your car. Don't bother going to the dealer. The fault will clear by driving the car. It's a good thing you didn't buy that Challenge car. You'd be going to the dealer every day for them to computer check the typical warning lights we commonly get on our Challenge cars.
Yeah this month I have only driven the 355 I feel like its 2007 when I had my first 355 and I was younger
