My lady and I were out on a drive to get some Blizzards from Dairy Queen. I spotted something out of the corner of my eye, in a used car dealership. "Holy...!" I turned and parked in the dealership. My lady was unsure about what I saw, and I told her she'd want to come with me and see for herself. Bless her, she can appreciate a nice car. =P

We walked up to a beautiful Ferrari 348ts. The doors reminded me of a Testarossa, which I thought it was from the road. The car salesman came up almost immediately.

S: "How are you all doing tonight?"

Me: "I'm sorry...I don't mean to waste anyone's time, but I saw this from the road, and I just HAD to take a closer look."

S: "Oh, I understand! Go ahead...well, it's probably lock--oh! No, it's unlocked; hop in there!"

My mouth drops, palms a little sweaty. Wow. I open the door, sliding all the way in. Honestly, I never thought I would even FIT in a car like this, let alone get in one. It was actually quite comfortable and a bit snug, but in a good way. I climb out after about a minute, not wanting to overstay my welcome.

Me: "I never even thought I would be able to get out of a car like this--now I don't have an excuse, haha!"

S: "That's very true." (Another salesman is walking up with a set of keys and a smirk on his face. He hands me keys.) "Well, here! Get back in and fire her up!"

My mouth drops once again. Somebody pinch me.

    Me: "Wow...okay!"

I slip back in. Clutch in. Gently set it into neutral. Turn the key to run and wait a few seconds. Turn to start, and it starts up immediately with a distinct Ferrari purr right behind my head. Unbelievable. I let it idle for a bit, then give it a couple (very) low revs and shut it off after about 30 seconds.

S: "Not bad, huh? You can take it for a drive, but you'd have to cut us a check first!" (we all laugh)

I couldn't stop smiling for about 3 days.

My name is Kenin, and that is my Ferrari story. Over the years, I have peeked in this forum just to read the fascinating stories from fortunate, elite Ferrari owners. Unfortunately, I am not an owner myself. I live an hour from Seattle, WA, and the economy here has made it very difficult to find work.

Anyway, hopefully I can still be warmly welcomed as a guy who just loves Ferrari and maybe aspires to own one in the future! Thank you for the read!

Welcome! You are among friends here.

May be worth driving over to cars and coffee in Seattle to see a few more.

    Andrew and BSU,

Thank you for the warm reception! I noticed the 348 forum, and I will certainly be visiting that one soon. Will definitely need to look into "cars and coffee" events...I don't suppose there are any in Tacoma? =P

    Thanks again, guys!

    Ha! That's awesome.

I could be wrong, but I believe he lives around the Auburn/Black Diamond area. Generally a bit more wealthy up there than Tacoma! But still...I bet it's possible for something to be in Tacoma. Will have to do some detective work on that one! =)
