    Hello fellow Rarist!

Been trying to research how to obtain a build history for my vehicle. Documentation that includes what are the options installed when it came-out of the dealership, engine info and others.

Short of going to the dealership, is there another alternative in obtaining this? Thank you guys!

D- A build sheet or option sheet has to be downloaded from MODIS, so the dealer or an FChatter who works for a dealership or FNA and has MODIS access are the only possible sources. Here is an example of a build sheet from a 575M.

That's exactly what I'm looming for.

Any Fchatter that has access that could pull her build? Thanks guys in advance.

D- An alternative is to look in your warranty book and see where your Ferrari was originally sold. The selling dealership would probably be happy to print and mail a build or option sheet for you. It only takes about five minutes.

Unfortunately, the vehicle doesn't come with any books. It's a rush sale at a phenomenal price that's why I pulled the trigger. Clean title, otherwise I wouldn't even take her. But it's lacking of the little knick knacks like tool box (bought them already), manuals (downloaded them already from ferraridatabase) and other similar stuff.

I was hoping I can provide her Vin# to somebody who may have access to a resource.

    Thanks guys!

Is this dealer where the vehicle first purchased when new? Did they charge? How long did it took to obtain the sheet? Thank you

You live close to me - I'm surprised I've never seen your car. I don't have all of the information on your car that you'd get from MODIS, but we can at least clear up a few things... First, the engine in your car is the same as the engine in every other 360; indeed there were changes throughout the model run, but the changes were minor. I don't know the assembly number or the engine number, but it was probably built in March, 2001 (but you can check that yourself by looking at the data plate, which is affixed to the driver's side door jamb).

I saw a picture of your car on Facebook a year ago - it's white, right? Has it ever been repainted? I only ask because it was for sale in January, 2007, on eBay through Excell Auto Group of Boca Raton, FL, and they listed it as silver with black interior. At that time, the car had 9,708 miles, and they were asking $134,900.

But two years later in March, 2009, Sanfer Sportscars of Miami, FL, had it for sale, and they listed it as Bianco Fuji with black leather, Daytona seats, white piping, pearl white console, Tubi exhaust, Forgiato wheels, Italian Scuderia stripes, 13,021 miles, one owner.

If your car left the factory liveried in Bianco Fuji, then it's pretty rare on its own. But the rarest part is that ...it has a sunroof! Ferrari didn't make many 360s with sunroofs! If only it had a stick - it'd be perfect. :)

    Hi,

I'll PM you my zip code and maybe if were close go out for a drive some time. So far been doing this every other weekend with other auto enthusiast in the Riverside area.

That's wealth of information to start. Not sure how you got this but, wow. It would be nice if it's Bianco Fuji original color. There are primary items I'm hoping to learn with her.
    1. What is the original color? (The sticker under the hood is not there).
    2. What recall or improvement campaigns this car have that the dealership made?
    3. Plus any other wealth info I can find out for her.

I'm loving the sunroof and learned why it's shaped that way. It fits exactly at the front trunk with the shape (She have a subwoofer behind the seats). I agree if it's stick, I decided to give the F! a try and I like it as well, especially in Sports mode.

Thank you again and thank you in advance if there's more we can learn about her.

Take a day and drive her to Ferrari of Newport Beach and they should be happy to pull the build sheet from MODIS. They may also be able to see if she has had the variator campaign and other campaigns done.

If you go back to ferraridatabase.com, you can download all the Modena and Spider technical bulletins, which should have all the campaigns listed. About 20 Mb, so too big to post here. The Ferrari recalls through 2009 are also on the site in the same location.

I just emailed my local dealer's Service Director and he emailed it to me -- no charge. Not the original selling dealer.

If it works. All the details on mine were wrong. I even sent a copy of my MODIS build sheet to them but they still haven't changed it.

This might be something I would do because I'm lazy. Hiw did you find out the email of the service director? Typically they only publish the general service departments email in their website. Thanks

Hiw do you find the link for requesting this information in my.ferrari.com? How do you get a MODIS (not sure what this is) build sheet?

It's a little concerning that I may get inaccurate info of my car in the site. :-/

There is no request, you register your car and you get a link to your page. As Alan said, the info may be spot on (as in my case) or not (as in his).. just another tool.

The dealer that sold and serviced my car got me service records from 2008 forward (on my 03), nothing more. I would love to see "campaigns done" and records since new but they tell me it is't possible.

If we get together - and I can find my paint thickness meter - I'll bring it with me. I can gauge the paint thickness on your car and give you a good idea of whether or not it's original.

I just sent an email to the service department and gave them my VIN. The sent the PDF file back to me. At my.ferrari.com you have to register and IIRC then send them a copy of your title and a copy of your DL and they will create an account for you. Not sure but just register and see. As I mentioned your details may not be accurate and the MODIS sheet was not available for me. Best bet is to email your dealer or drop by.

That is strange as the campaigns are the only thing that is in Ferrari's data base -- for earlier cars that is. I think for 2007 and later models the service history is there also (just like all the other manufacturers have done for a long time).

Alan- Starting with the F430 and Superamerica, the chip in the instrument panel went from 2 Mb to 8 Mb and serial number and some maintenance history could be stored.

All they would tell me is "they have nothing before 2008". Car was sold new and serviced there since so they may just be being pricks... it is Long Island, NY after all... :D
