Hi there everyone. New here to the forums and looking to buy my first 355. I’ve stumbled across this up for auction and was wondering if anyone had some more info. I’m aware it was once owned by Ratarossa and has had the engine out service completed too. https://shootingbrake.com/auction/details/33538
"Engine out" or was that Ratarossa's 355 which had the belt change done by removing the fuel tank? Ask the seller to fix the alarm siren (the immobiliser LED is illuminated) The roof seems to be good in his videos. It has a brief appearance in this video (the roof elastics on the silver car look good). (see around 11 minute mark). Seems odd that it was sold so quickly again.
Just wondering how the USA lights were converted to Euro lights (especially the filling of holes in the lower body where the side reflectors are). New holes would have to be drilled for the side repeaters). There appears to be some waviness in the skin where the old US lights would have been. See the old configuration in the image in the previous message. I see a small tear in the roof canvas. Outboard dash vents look sticky (decals look damaged) Centre console panels are either sticky or poorly repaired. Mirror control panel looks bent. Bent air intake vanes on LHS? Airbag leather needs attention as does a lot of the leather (centre console, radio area, etc) Toolkit satchel in poor condition Some tools missing Fuel block recall carried out. Looks like the photos are honest. LOL... I see Ratarossa has his own service stamp.
Yes i noticed that car auction site cropped up a few days ago, and as if by magical coincidence you Stumble across it and rushed to post it for your first post I'm sure collecting cars were a little more subtle
Yeah I couldn’t think of many cars that would require more information about them than what Ratarossa has already covered, you can literally watch him service the thing.
Exactly! Nice try...to the OP plz don't insult our intelligence with this BS..that auction house must be pretty desperate & ethically stripped to try pulling silly stunts like this..now we know to avoid it
