Took my car to its first car show, pictures to follow, highlights include: A young kid, maybe 10 years old was spending a lot of time circling my car, he took a photo of every corner, all the badging, and had is father take a photo of him standing next to the car. I went over a spoke with them, opened the door and said you can get a lot better photo if you are sitting inside. The kid was shaking he was so excited, his father told me, on the way to the show, he had asked if there would be any Ferrari's at the show, and that his son had posters of Ferraris all over his room. I thought this kid was just like me at that age. Really made me feel good. Two police officers on bikes stopped for a rest in the shade next to my car for about 15mins. Two girls selling raffle tickets walked by, one said to the other "Why are the Cops only on this street?" the other girl replied "they are ther to guard the ferraris (328 parked next to mine). I laughed I had another father/son combo looking at the car, the son asked his dad "How much is this car worth?" His dad replied "As much as our house" I just giggled to my self, must be a small house. I had a crowd of people waiting around at the end of the show waiting for me to leave, they all wanted to hear the car. After I warmed up the engine I gave them a couple revs. all in all , what a fantastic day Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Really enjoyed reading your post. Our experiences are very similar since I acquired my first Ferrari (355 GTB) a year ago and am new to the car show circuit as well. Like you, I enjoy listening to the comments and talking to folks about the Ferrari magic . . . . . great looking car! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just attended my first car show as well! It was a great time. Like you said, it is good stuff to talk with people and kids about Ferraris. I picked up my first car trophy for 1st in class! My class was original '89 to current. Sorry for the poor trophy pic. I was in the middle of taking the pic when a car was trying to get by me.
