Just got my 355 after a lot of searching. Mine is a Red/Tan 6 speed Spider with recent service, gold connector kit, and Capristo Stage 2. WOW what an information overload my first drive was, al 15 miles! I have watched endless videos on 355's with Capristo's that sound amazing but after hearing it in person there really is no why to describe how amazing it was. The over all feel of the car was very proportioned. I have raced formula cars for 20 years and its the closest car I have driven that has the same feel. It was certainly one of those rare experiences that exceeded my expectations. I am looking forward to getting to know the car in the coming weeks before the winter sets in. I am hooked!!

Well done ! Think all 355s should come with a warning that they can cause a serious addiction!

It is awesome, my throttle will actually "stick" until I hit 8000 rpm's .........
My mechanic says it is due to operator headspace, my shrink says it is in my head ..... Fired the shrink, drive the car instead ..... I feel absolutely marvelous.

Sounds like you made a mistake, once you drive a proper 355 you are hooked and nothing else will do! Congratulations and enjoy your new addiction!

This should be in bold type at the top of every page here on Fchat. So the sound isn't the only thing that is close to a formula car? Please elaborate!

I have a 95 Berlinetta with Cap Stage 3 and Hyperflows. Are you running stock cats? Hyperflows or straight pipes will sound much, much better which may
seem impossible but it's very true. Just heard my car 2 days ago with stock cats, then yesterday with Hyperflows. NO comparison!!

Huge congrats on the 355. Have you owned any other Ferraris?

    Great post BTW.

Congrats on your new car! A fantastic choice in color and body style as well. The sounds and experience in a spider are the best. Enjoy!

Thanks guys, I am beyond excited to finally own a 355. If I had a blank check to buy any car I wanted I would go and by a 355, I have been infatuated with this particular car since 1995. It is my first Ferrari, I had a 911 for 12 years. Great car but now that I have driven the 355 the 911 seems very vanilla to me. I have raced F2000 cars for 20 years and the 355 is the closest road car that I have driven that shares some similarities in regards to the driving experience. The 355 feels small and responsive. Admittedly I have not even come close to driving the 355 at its performance envelop but it feels very similar to that of my f2000 car. I haven't had the top down yet, I also haven't even tried to see if the radio works yet(and don't care if it does!), really, who cares about a radio when you can be listening to that amazing engine. The sitting position in the car seems very low to the ground which just adds to the experience as well. All I can say is WOW!!!!! I am hooked!!!
