On saturday, i get to fly my first dual cc, i cannot wait! I fly a 1999 diamond eclipse. I am 14, so it took awhile to earn the 200 buck to fly 2 hrs, but it will be worth it. I am flying KEYE-KLAF.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!! CORY!!!!! Congrats on your solo!
Now it's on to dual XC's. Then, a solo XC!! WOOO WOOO!!!!!

I wish I were your age again! But I'm nearing retirement,
and have decided to do something I've been putting off,
for the last 42 years......... FLY!

I solo'd last week, and am looking forward to my first dual XC too!
I'll be headed to a class "C" airport, complete with arrival and departure procedures, radio contact with tower, and ground control...
Looks like I'll, be very busy then...

    Should be VERRRY ........interesting!

Hang in there and good Luck!

    Skyraider.

    Mooniac & Skyraider,

When I was taking lessons, my home airport was in the Class "C", so I got very use to ATC looking over me and since most of my flights were similiar, I was actually nervous flying into uncontrolled fields. I'm based at KISP (Islip, NY), where are you guys?

That's cool (sim bud). I haven't met many controllers in person, only over the radio. I go to a flying club meeting where they had one of the controllers come down to talk to us.

    Hey Skyraider,

I have only been to Farmingdale once via plane (there's a landing fee for even doing a touch-and-go). Busy with training and corporate planes there, but if "mum" lives east of Farmingdale, it might be easier/better to fly into KISP. The two airports are probably about a 30 minute drive between each other, but if she is west of Farmingdale, then it's definitely the place to land.
