hey everybody-- just wanted to introduce myself and my car to the board-- my name is greg and i just picked up this '06 430 last week. tour de france blue/tan w/ blue inserts has 7k miles on it. it was previously owned by a pro baseball player. i've been a pcar guy for the past 10 years and race a 944 turbo with NASA-mid-atlantic. i have to say the car is very impressive (just stating the obvious). we have some amazing roads through horse country here in northwest baltimore suburbia and i took her out on some proper, fantastic, maiden voyage weekend runs. i have to note that the board provided immeasurable information/help in my purchase decision--thanks. looking forward to meeting some of you at C&C's and runs-- Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey, did you know that there is an identical (LHD) car in the UK? It's Blu Mediterraneo with cream interior, yellow tachometer, blue aftermarket wheels with silver lips, yellow tachometer, and smoked rear lenses. The one in the UK also has a rear wing though.
As I was searching the country for every TDF Blue F430, I came across this one. I ended up with a Spider that I posted in my own intro thread. So glad she found a home with you, she is very nice and you have great taste.
Awesome, thanks! This car was just for sale last month on eBay through Luxury Motors in Fort Meyers, FL. Before that, it was at the Fort Lauderdale Collection in June. And back in March, '07, it was for sale through Scottsdale Ferrari.
yeah i had known all that history on the car. i purchased the car from luxury in ft myers-- great group to deal with. as i previously mentioned the car was owned by a ball player for the cinncy reds which explains the movement of the car. he must've bought it during spring training in AZ. had the car in ohio for awhile where he plays. then down to FL where he lives. car was even exported to the domincan for a few months where he is from. spoke to the service mgr at the collection and ferrari ft lauderdale to obtain service recs on car. everything checked out--regular service, exhaust manifold replaced-- new battery. the car was well represented by luxury motors
Hey Greg, I've been a lurker for a fair while here, and don't post much, but this one brought me out of the woodwork. Congrats. TDF blue is one of my favourites, and I have to say - that is spectacular. Enjoy. Cheers Mike
Cheers to you mike--brought you out of the woodworks and brought my eyes out of my head and put my tongue on the ground!!!
Greg, Congrats on a beautiful car!! Stop by the MAR section on the forum to find out whats happening in the Baltimore area. Plenty of C&C nearby!! Enjoy!!
I found your post and your pics. Excellent man. Your pictures look better than the ones I was looking at when I came across it online. The Blue is surprisingly awesome...! I got stuck in the RED Ferrari thing for my first one, but this is something else. I like the black wheels, it definitely sets it off. I think it would look too plain with stock wheels. Looks like it has smoked out taillights too, yes? Drive it well and drive fun. I hope to catch up with you some day on the road.
